We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour with Newmarket Holidays. The hotel is situated in a quiet suburb of the small town of Deurne, about a 30 minute walk from the town centre, and a 20 minute walk from the railway station. First impressions were good, the hotel has an upmarket atmosphere and the decor is very cool. Our room (125) overlooked the chapel at the back of the hotel and the neighbouring woods. The room itself was acceptable, comfortable beds and large bathroom, but the carpet was quite worn and stained, and the WC wasn't entirely clean on arrival. We also found it to be rather warm in the room overnight, despite leaving windows open. In a really hot spell of weather the lack of A/C might be a problem. As our room wasn't ready on arrival, we had lunch in the restaurant's outside area which we enjoyed, although it took us a while to realise the reason none of the waiting staff seemed to want to take our order is because you are expected to scan a QR code on the table. Perhaps this needs to be made a little clearer. A nice breakfast was served in the restaurant, with a good selection of food. Staff were all very pleasant throughout the hotel. Would we stay here again? Yes probably, if we happened to be in the area again (which is actually pretty unlikely).
