The Islander Condominium

Unit 516 at The Islander is fantastic! We absolutely loved the gorgeous sunset views from our balcony—truly breathtaking. The unit is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The grounds are well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. We will definitely be returning to Unit 516!

There are 2 buildings with very different views. When we stayed in December, we saw that one building faces the Gulf of Mexico and the other building faces another condo, a parking lot, a harbor view and is the sunset view. So, it depends on what you want for your view. All condos numbered 01 -09 face the Gulf of Mexico. All condos numbered 10-18 face the harbor. Hope this helps you choose your condo at Islander. We prefer to look at the Gulf.

This is my 3rd stay at the Islander resort. I came in May 2022 and stayed in room 514. It was fantastic. The room was clean. I came in Oct 2022 and stayed in room 204 and it was fantastic. My room was clean. I stayed in May 2023 in room 206, and the room was filthy. I do not believe it was cleaned. The bedroom with the bunk beds had a pee stain mattress cover. The room must have been smoked in. The room reeked of smoke and ashes was on the bedding. The bathroom had mold all in the shower and hair on the floor. The toilet seats in both bathrooms had so many chips and cracks in them. The master bedroom had hair all over the bedding and the master bathroom light flashed the entire time it was on. The living room furniture had white stains all over the furniture. We went to front desk to ask for a clean mattress cover, but was given a pad to put on top of the pee stain. We were given deodorizer for the smoke, but it did not work. We ended up closing the door, and put a towel at the bottom of the door to avoid the smoke smell. Plus who wants to sleep on a pee stain. The garbage disposal was broken and smelled up the entire condo. We had to put vinegar down it every day. We did not sit on the living room furniture because of all the white stains. During our stay someone walked in and said they were there to fix the couch. It was scary. They did not knock or anything. I am not sure what was wrong with the sofa. We had an awesome time on the beach. Alan is amazing. I am really sad that front desk or the managers did not want to help us. All I wanted was for my room to be cleaned, new mattress cover and new toilet seats. I am just really sad about this experience I was hoping to come back in July and August, but I guess I will try the condo next door. I wrote a review on Facebook and their website and they deleted it. I do have pictures, my room bill and proof if needed. Just really sad because I had planned on staying there again and again and was even hoping to own a condo there some day
