Señores de este hotel ,pagar 170 euros por noche en un hotel con estos standares de limpieza como los suyos, es ofensivo. Hay personas que ahorramos todo el año para poder iir a unas buenas vacaciones y a hoteles como el que aparece en sus fotos, pero encontrarse con eso es insultante. Estuvimos 3 días y no barrieron ni fregaron suelos de piscina, ni de rampa , ni hall, ni ascensores,ni descansillos,...nada. Moqueta del hall guarrisima igual que las de las escaleras. Comedor con sillas muy sucias, paredes con escurridajas...Puerta de entrada al hotel oxidada, bordes de piscina verdes, pelos de mascotas por rincones, Y la habitación con la puerta con dedos negros, paredes manchadas, un boquete en la pared, y el servicio de hace 30 años con ducha mínima y mampara de plástico llena de *****, los azulejos del baño sucios y lo peor que la pared del cabecero estaba llena de polvo y telas de araña. Por favor, ya sabemos que les sobrarán clientes porque están en Desenzano, pero están en la obligación de estar a la altura de un hotel.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff/owner. So kind of them to organise for me to see the rugby Six Nations. Fantastic breakfast and beautiful art. It’s only a seven minute walk from a lot of wonderful resultants and bars. Close to the lake and very good shopping. Amazing value for money. I highly recommend Hotel Benaco and will return!.

Great hotel close to Desenzano train station and only a 10min walk to town (slight incline coming back). Rooms were lovely and the beds so comfy. Breakfast was good, plenty of options and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else and will happily go back here.

Great breakfast spread- have tried something different each morning and all were very tasty. Try the honeycomb, it is incredible! Staff are friendly & helpful. We spent a lot of time at the pool and appreciated being able to order drinks & food (order inside) and have these delivered to where we were sitting. We found food/drink prices reasonable. Hotel has a gym with lots of weights and one static bike- it is small but has everything you need for a good workout. Heads up that smallest dumbbell is 10kg but there are 5kg/10kg plates if (like me!) you need lower weights for some exercises. A/C in our room isn’t amazing but the hotel had put a fan in there without us asking and this does the trick. Would recommend keeping the door to bathroom closed to keep the room cool. The only real downside is the walk back up from the lake to the hotel… it is a 10/15 minute climb… but at least the walk burns off some of the calories from the lovely food! 😂 We are travelling by train and location is perfect for this as isn’t too far to take suitcases. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights from 29th July. It is literally no more than 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes to the centre. 24 hour reception, staff very friendly and also you have the delights of the resident cat (not keen on fuss though haha) pool area quiet and although the water was cold, it was actually very nice in the heat, I cannot see why people would want it heated in 30 degrees. We stayed in room 201 and it was large, clean with a balcony. Cleaned every day and towels replaced. Yea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge. Breakfast was very good with a large selection and plenty of seating. Be advised it is a policy of the hotel that no backpacks are taken into the breakfast area which I imagine is so that guests don’t do themselves a light lunch. Although why any one would in Italy I can’t imagine as all of the places we are at were amazing. If we came back to Lake Garda we would definitely stay here again as it was perfect. We were able to check in early as our room was ready which we were very grateful for.

Room had a lovely large balcony, was clean and spacious. Inside lobby was very nice. We had tea and coffee in the room with a mini fridge. Front desk available 24hrs a day, and were very friendly and helpful to us. The pool was lovely and quiet, a little cold even in 30c. Convenient location from train station and 15min walk into town to the lake and shops down a straight road. Could leave luggage once checked out which was super helpful. We will be back!

By any rating this hotel would be good, for a 3 star it’s unheard of. The pool is beautiful and cleaned with a pool vac every night. It’s unheated so super refreshing if you can brave it! The breakfast has obviously improved massively since the last review on here- great bacon and eggs, healthy options, fresh fruit, cereals, quality coffee. Staff were lovely, rooms were wonderful, location perfect.

Lovely family run hotel - booked a room with an balcony. Big room with a lake view - very close to station - lovely pool and garden - nice staff and cute hotel cat My only comment is: no fresh fruit at breakfast. Only fruit on syrups. I missed some healthier breakfast options. I would stay again

If could give a 0 rating I would. Manager is the most ignorant person I've ever dealt with in all my years of travelling around the world. When our family room was given to someone else and they gave us different room which had bunk beds which was for a 69yr old lady he would not entertain our complaint. I had to ring bookings as he became verbally and personally abusive even following us onto the street after we had paid the 1 night to insult us. He's should be ashamed to call himself a hotel owner. AVOID!!!!!!
