Hotel Tripoli

The hotel is right across from the ferry stop. Very convenient for easy access to restaurants and shops in Desenzano. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is what one would expect from your usual 3 star hotel - no extra frills - but pleasant enough.

This is the best place for us. Small fine and nicely renovated family-hotel. The owners and the employees are very helpful and smiling. They make us feel welcome. The surroundings and the location just opposite of the harbour where the ferries go from, are very convenient. The weather wasn’t on our side, but no one is to blame. With a smile we hoped to warm people’s hearts instead.

Brilliant! Perfect location in beautiful Desenzano. Very nice staff. Excellent room and view. We had a balcony room with ocean view. Loved enjoying the good breakfast on the terrace. Hotel Tripoli was the perfect hotel for the three of us (with bambina 2yrs). 👶 We'll be back

Brand new hotel with cool location at the lake. ROOMS: Spacious room, very comfortable bed and big bathroom. What is most important every room has excellent soundproof!! Our apartment has a balcony with a lake view - it is really cool! You have your own table where you can spend beautiful time. LOCATION: wonderful! In the centre of Garda lake, there are a lot of restaurants nearby, good start for walk. It takes 15min to the railway station by feet. FOOD: nice breakfast is included, there is also cafe in front of the hotel with the lake view. FACILITIES: good wi-fi on every floor, safe in a room, tea and coffee also. STAFF: very friendly and polite. Everyone want to help you with any question.

The room was OK to start with, location is great as is the breakfast and the view. We had booked for 4 nights however woke at 3am on our first night never went back to sleep and left as soon as the manager arrived as we had woken to the room full of cigarette smoke. Now this isn't just like someome was smoking on the balcony this was thick with smoke as if several people where chain smoking in the room. It was fresh smoke and as it was hot the room was putrid and saturated, particularly in the bathroom which didn't have a window do our only conclusion was that this was coming through the vents. The hotel where absolutely unwilling to do anything about it. As 2 non-smokers, quite frankly this was unacceptable and disgusting. It is rediculous to presume that people would be find with that even as smokers. We both felt like we had been smoking, we could both feel it in our noses and throats, not to mention our skin and hair smelled of smoke as did all our clean clothing. We had to find another hotel while sat in the square at 7am. It was brought to the hotels attention at 4am, we where told there was nothing they could do, they didn't have another room which was lies as they where still selling on ***********. We where told to go back when the day manager came in. No understanding or apology was offered by the manager or any member of staff just "OK you can leave". We paid for our one night which was mostly spend trying to decide what to do and heaving from the thick smell of smoke, and which is expensive. You are paying for the location as the hotel itself isn't spectacular. It is however, noisy and Desenzano seems to be a hub for local young folk, the beaches are packed at the weekend We left and booked a hotel in Sirmione which was beautiful and happily carried on with our trip there. This is by far one of the worst experiences in a hotel we have ever had. Couldn't recommend this hotel even a little bit and won't be back.

Very nice hotel in a good location and friendly host. The hotel is 3 stars but you get more than you usually expect of 3 stars hotels. Very high standard of cleaning. The location is in the center, in front of the lake and few meter from the pier where from you can pick a boat to all the smal towns on the lake. Top location and highly recommended.
