Lumb Farm Country Club

Travelling is part of my job and although its not always easy to be away from home, small things make it easier. I only stayed one night and had never stayed here before, but that's not how it felt. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was made to feel extremely welcome, despite the fact that the whilst checking me in Kendal (Manager) was obviously very busy. I was then showed to my room which was clean, comfortable and very spacious with everything I needed for the night. Once settled in, I decided to order dinner from the bar, this turned out to be a good decision as the food was very tasty and great value for money. Kendal is polite, professional, friendly and happy to chat, I will defiantly be back. Thanks Paul

I booked this accommodation as I didn’t fancy driving into central Nottingham and this appeared to be easily accessible to the M1- it was!! The hotel was very informal and I was checked in at the bar, really easily and by a very friendly colleague who walked me round to my room, advising me that I could move my car to park right outside for my convenience. She explained where the restaurant was and left me to unpack. My room was one of several purpose built units in a block next to the main building. It was a really pleasant surprise, whereas the bar area at the hotel was quite old and quirky, my room was modern, bright & clean with a comfy bed, tv, kettle, coffee, tea, milk, sugar, fresh smart bedding and a spotless shower room with huge towels! I ate in the restaurant and got great service and a nice meal- no complaints! I gave my breakfast order in to the bar, as requested so that it would be ready at my chosen time. After a decent nights sleep, I had a great shower ( loads of hot water & great pressure) and went up to breakfast. I was served by another really friendly lady, who got my fresh juice, Pot of tea and my preordered breakfast which again was well presented and great quality. I would certainly stay here again when needing accomodation in the area - great value, service & location- less than 15 minutes from the M1 in a peaceful rural setting.
