This was THE dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The floors were gross (there were peanuts on the floor!), the baseboard in the bathroom has probably never been dusted and there is no free breakfast although it is advertised. The person at the desk noted that the hotel is under renovation and there were paint splashes everywhere and construction adhesives and dirt on the doors. It was just gross. Ice machine broken. TV would show a channel then suddenly go to fuzz, so bad cable connection? There was a tub, but drain plug broken. The “remodeling” being done was very uneven. Some slapped on paint, poor wall texture work, and new switch covers for the electric switches but leaving the old dirty switches in. It was all “lipstick on a pig” work, when the place really needs to be gutted down to the frame and done over. Does Kern County have health inspections for their hotels?
