Fern Hook Vacation Cabins are located nearby Jedidiah Smith State Park in the tiny hamlet of Hiouchi, California, where old growth redwood forests meet crystal clear waters on their way to the secluded beaches of the rugged north coast. Indulge yourself in a private setting of magnificent redwoods carpeted with ferns. Our newly constructed cabins with full kitchens, top of the line mattresses, and high thread count linens will provide deluxe accommodations while you enjoy this natural wonderland. Located just far enough up river to get out of the summer fog, but still a short drive to the beach. With attractions like the Wild Scenic Smith River just a short distance away and golf next door, it is easy to lose yourself in the astounding beauty and abundant recreation available. Small but Nice
Good. Very nice bed. Only negative is it seemed small for my family, and could have used more seating (couch and 2 kitchen chairs was all) though there was not enough room for more.

Wish we could have stayed longer! Booked this little gem for a 1-night stay during our adventures of driving the California to Oregon Coast. The details for the layout and fitting all the amenities into this small cabin were well thought out! We would 100% recommend and stay again if we are in the area.

Small & Sweet
Absolutely lovely property. It felt as if we were secluded, but it was a short 10 minute drive to Crecent City and the parks. It was perfect for a weekend getaway!

Warm cabin in the big woods
Cute cozy spot surrounded by trees. Very close to several trail heads, and a short drive to a grocery store in Crescent City. Easy check in instructions.
