A truly spectacular place to stay while in Datong. The owner and his staff made us feel very welcome, questions and requests were attended to promptly and with a smile. When the owner asked us to treat the place like our home, he meant it, and looked after us like family. Our room was stylish, elegant and comfortable, the contemporary finish inside allowed us our modern comforts while retaining its historical facade. Our room was one of two that shared a courtyard. Although too cold to sit outside, I can see a return in warmer weather to enjoy the courtyard. The first three pictures were provided by the owner as we were too excited and forgot to take pictures of the room, but they mirror reality. The last picture was ours, and will remind us of the magical time we had here. The accommodation is a short walk to the South gate of the old city wall, close to the buzz of the shops of the old city but away from the crowds. Five star hotels can learn a thing or two about service from this establishment. We will be back.

This hotel combines the convenience of modern high tech with the spiritual beauty of traditional culture. The rooms themselves are constructed around courtyards that give a sense of what life might have been like in Datong many centuries ago. In the lobby and in the rooms, murals decorate the walls with elegant designs of birds or flowers. The cabinets, bench, and floors made of wood and the countertops made of marble work together well and draw on design choices that are classicly, universally appealing. At the same time, the entire room is wired with the amenties of modernity. The toilet has a seat warmer and a light that turns on when you lift the lid so that you can find it in the middle of the night. Similarly, there seem to be motion-sensitive lights throughout the room that light up when you walk in the middle of the night so that you can find your way around. The water in the shower and the bathtub is able to get very hot (which I love!) and has high pressure. There is also a top-of-the-line hair dryer. It's the perfect blend of high tech and traditional amenities! If I have one complaint it's that the room was so hot that I had to open my window to let in the freezing air, and still the room was hot! That shows how effective the heating system is! The serivce at the hotel is also extraordinary! All the members of hotel reception are very friendly. And they send someone to your room shortly after you settle in to give you a platter of fruit, which was fresh and seasonal and artistically chosen it seems. They also have 24 hours service in case you need anything. My friend went into the lobby early in the morning shouting about coffee, and the staff came out quickly to make him a cup. The hotel is also very clean. The blankets, the pillows, and the sheets are as white as snow. The floors are free of dust and dirt and smudges. Everything in the shower and toilet room was scrubbed clean too. And the shower drains smoothly without pooling any water, showing how well it is maintained. Finally, the location is very convenient. You can see that for yourself by just looking at the map. But I would like to add that just outside the gate of the hotel, you can see the Prince's palace, which is beautifully lit at night. What's more, my favorite restaurant in downtown Datong (I think the restaurant is translated as BeiWei Family Garden or something like that) is less than 5 minutes walking from the gate. There are also multiple shops for buying vinegar or wine or shaji snacks. In less than 10 minutes, you can also walk to all the major commercial streets. I love the location of this hotel!

Nos acompañó hasta la casa y nos dio un mapa escrito a mano con información detallada sobre restaurantes y atracciones cercanas. Incluso nos preguntó a qué hora planeábamos desayunar al día siguiente para prepararlo, un detalle muy considerado. La señora que preparó el desayuno también era increíblemente hábil; todavía recuerdo los fideos hechos a mano, mucho mejores que los de los restaurantes Lao Chai. Como era tan difícil conseguir reservas en Fenglinge y Longjuxiang, la recepcionista me dijo que Longjuxiang ofrecía servicio a domicilio, así que pedimos y comimos allí, ¡sin arrepentimientos!

La ubicación es inmejorable, a solo unos minutos del Templo Huayan y a 5-6 minutos a pie del Palacio Daiwang y la Muralla de los Nueve Dragones. Al salir, hay muchos restaurantes a ambos lados, lo que facilita mucho la comida. El ambiente es antiguo y pintoresco, limpio y ordenado. En el segundo piso hay muchos animales pequeños, como pavos reales, ardillas y loros. La habitación es tipo dúplex y tiene un balcón con vistas, donde es muy agradable relajarse al atardecer. Además, cada día hay fruta fresca, un detalle muy considerado. ¡La experiencia de la estancia es de diez!

Si llega tarde en primavera, es recomendable reservar el hotel con antelación para asegurar una plaza de aparcamiento. De hecho, el hotel está un poco lejos del casco antiguo. Aquí puede disfrutar de la comida para llevar de varios restaurantes antiguos, cenando directamente en la primera planta del hotel. Las habitaciones están equipadas con instalaciones nuevas e inteligentes, y se puede disfrutar de la vista al patio interior desde la ventana. Es muy conveniente para ir a las Grutas de Yungang.

Esta fue mi primera vez en una casa de huéspedes, y en comparación con un hotel grande, me sentí increíblemente a gusto. La habitación era cómoda y limpia, con café, una bandeja de fruta y pasteles en la mesa de centro. Los manzanos y espinos, cargados de fruta, contribuían a la tranquilidad del pequeño patio en otoño. El personal fue amable y atento, y la Hermana Xiaolong se preocupó especialmente por nuestro bienestar, preparándonos un desayuno abundante y delicioso. Como nos íbamos temprano el último día, le sugerimos a la Hermana Xiaolong que nos preparara el desayuno para el día siguiente la noche anterior, pero ella insistió en levantarse temprano y prepararnos huevos duros calientes, maíz y batatas antes de las 6:40 a. m., junto con leche y fruta envasadas, todo empaquetado y entregado. El entorno hermoso y tranquilo, el servicio cálido y atento: ¡una experiencia de viaje verdaderamente inolvidable! Sin duda recomendaremos esta casa de huéspedes a nuestros amigos y familiares que viajen a Datong en el futuro.

El hotel es excelente, no en vano es un hotel de cinco estrellas de larga trayectoria. El encargado del estacionamiento fue muy eficiente, en cuanto le dije que me alojaba en el hotel, inmediatamente me indicó un lugar. El recepcionista también fue muy amable, enseguida me ofreció agua caliente, diciendo que el clima en Datong es seco y que un poco de agua caliente me vendría bien. La señora de la limpieza también fue encantadora, preguntando si necesitaba algo y ofreciéndose a proporcionarlo en cualquier momento. En resumen, el servicio es superbueno. Además, el hotel ofrece vistas panorámicas de toda la antigua ciudad de Datong, lo cual también es un punto a destacar.

Habiendo visto muchos hoteles, todos dijeron que había insectos negros locales en la habitación. Me temo que los insectos no reflejan insectos, y todavía está cerca de la antigua ciudad, hay grandes ventanas. Preferimos caminar, caminar a la puerta oriental por más de 20 minutos, y la casa de él está bien. La recepción es seriamente responsable, descubrió un pequeño problema la noche, vino a tiempo para resolver el cuarto y fue difícil.
