Amalia Hotel

What a fantastic hotel. This was a last minute budget holiday me and a friend had booked for a few days of sunshine. We originally booked 3 nights and enjoyed the hospitality so much we extended our stay an extra 4 nights. The staff make this place! From Christina at the reception, to Valentino at the bar, Yannis at breakfast, Nikos at the snack bar and of course Vangeli the owner. Every single one of them and the rest of the staff made sure our stay was memorable. The room was basic but for the price we paid you can't expect much more. It was clean and comfortable. Fresh towels everyday and the cleaners even folded our pyjamas. They also provide shower gel and shampoo. Food was good for a 2* with plenty of options and there was always something to eat. The BBQ nights were the best quality, we never went hungry. There are also plenty of amenities extremely close to the hotel with Danny's supermarket opposite and La Casa a lovely restaurant a 1/2min walk away. Drinks were great, the all inclusive included cocktails, beer, wine, spirits and mixers and occasionally a round of shots was brought round the bar on an evening by Vangeli. There was also entertainment on alternate nights with live bands and Greek dancing which were fantastic and got everyone on the dance floor! The only downfall was the smell of sewage but this wasn't only at Amalia, we had to move to another hotel for one night when we extended our stay as Amalia had no availability and the alterative hotel also had a similar problem (but worse). Its especially bad next to the pool area but I think drainage may be a regular problem on the greek islands. Thank you so much for making our stay excellent.

Thank you for the most magical experience in Corfu!! My sister and I had a blast, all the staff were friendly, helpful and they work very hard to keep the hotel running. The quality of the food was excellent and there was a lovely atmosphere around the pool. Would recommend!

It has taken weeks for me to write this after the distress this holiday caused. 7 days to long. No honest reviews written before I booked To call this a budget hotel is wrong. My holiday cost more than £2200 for a week. NOT GOOD. Don’t spend your hard earned money on this disgusting place. The resort is a rat run between corfu town and the next resort. Please don’t go.Reception not obvious, no signs. No lift, two flights of stairs with your 23kgs suitcase.What can I say the room we bought was not what we got. Small with a desk, and bed with beside tables. Lived out of suitcase, would not use the wardrobe! Bathroom tiny, you bash your elbows on the shower when using the sink. Corridor lifeless not even one picture on the wall down to the pool. Wow! Green scum was a nice touch, loungers soaked and covered in black mould. A strong smell of raw sewage was constant. The dinning room didn’t look like the photos advertised. I thought it was the staff canteen. It’s the only hotel I have seen with a microwave to reheat food. Dirty mops at the front door. Guests should not see any of this. Asked for tea/coffee for my room. One of my must haves when booking. That was meet with utter annoyance . The coffee cups in my room remained dirty all week. I was making the bed. Had to wear my flip flops in the room floor not touched all week. But the icing on the cake was to discover a soap from previous guest with bits on it. Then on our last night a survey to ask how they did? I didn’t fill it in as I would just upset me even more.

We had a great time at Amalia hotel, staff were amazing and so was the food. Really nice pool area and good location for getting to and back to Corfu town on the bus if needed. It was a really nice family run feel to the hotel, nothing was too much to ask for, also they have 5 very friendly cats that treated us in the morning and purred on my lap whilst having evening drinks. Would definitely stay again and great value for money.

Just spent a week here & it was great. The food was all super tasty and varied including BBQ and traditional Greek food. The hotel is family run and has a very friendly atmosphere. We arrived quite late and they insisted on giving us some food. There are cats there including a kitten 😻

This family run hotel is situated on the main road in Dassia Corfu,it's a fairly small 3 star hotel with only 3 floors,we were there for 10 days on a fully inclusive stay,there is a really nice pool area with lots of sun beds and a bar area next to it under cover which stayed open till after 11 pm,there is local entertainment 3 times a week, bedrooms are fairly basic but are very clean and towels are changed daily, the food was fairly plain but there was plenty of it,all on a self service system and always a full English breakfast on offer every day,the outstanding part of this hotel was the friendliness of the staff especially the 24 hour reception nothing was too much trouble
