Unfortunately, this must rank as one of the worst hotel experiences that I have had (and I have had close to 1000 stays). It started with the fact that it is on a busy road and the sign for the hotel is not very visible due to the fact that the hotel is set back ca. 20metres and the sign is painted onto the hotel with colors that blend in with the color of the hotel. The entrance is also not very clear to find even after you have found the hotel. It took ca. 20 minutes to get into the car park from first passing the hotel. Once I had parked, I went to the main door (time ca. 19.30) and I could see that the reception was unoccupied despite the reservation clearly stating that someone would be present between 17.00 and 21.00. There was a sign on the hotel door recommending to phone the 24 hour number. I did this 3 times but no one answered. I saw that there was a card reader for hotel door keys on the left but as I did not have a key, I was not sure what to do. I finally saw that this also accepted credit cards and with this I could get in. On the reception counter I found my door key but I needed to leave for a pre-arranged dinner. After dinner, I went to my room. The room was neat and tidy and I felt like watching a little TV. Unfortunately the remote did not work. Of course, as the reception is unmanned, there was no one to ask. Before bed, i went for a shower and on exiting the shower i grabbed the towel. Unfortunately, it smelt of body odour so I did not use it. Again, no one to ask for a fresh one... I won't be staying there again and neither will anyone from our 12,000 workers.
