The front of the hotel faces the busy coastal road to expect some traffic noise, how much depends on the room you choose as there are different types and prices. A good size swimming pool with loungers and parasols is located at the back of the hotel. The hotel is made up of two buildings. Leave by the gate by the pool onto a service road and you are 2 mins walk down to a beautiful crescent bay with soft sand and shallow clear waters. You enter the hotel into a large lounge where you will find reception, an outside seating area and a small bar. Rooms in this building can be accessed by lift. The breakfast room is found in the basement of this building, but it still manages to be a pleasant light and airy space. Our room was in the second building, stair access only, and I'll base my description on this, number 217. The room was a good size, the bathroom didn't have much standing space, most of the space being taken by a very large shower cubicle, which was great, good power and plenty of hot water. A hairdryer in her wall mounted. The double bed was very comfortable, wardrobe and a number of drawers. A dressing table with mirror and a small fridge. The balcony was large enough to take a table and two chairs easily. No kettle, but you can ask at reception to loan one and cups free of charge. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard and towels and bed linen changed every two days. The one niggle we had was that there was only one plug socket, used for the TV. It was very close to the floor so not convenient to use. If you wanted to bring your own hairdryer you couldn't use it near any mirror. I'm sure if we had asked they would have supplied an extension, but we didn't think of that until we saw one in the lounge on our last day. The brekfast was very good consisting of typical Greek style, cheese and cold cuts, cold boiled eggs, hot omelette, sausage, fried eggs and bacon, cereals, fresh fruits and a selection of pastries. The orange cordial didn't look good, so didn't try. Everything else was delicious. Finally, the staff, so friendly, helpful and efficient, always ready for a friendly chat. Next to the hotel is a small shop excellent for picking up packs of water and bus tickets to get into Chania about 15 minutes away. The bus stops are very close and in the season very frequent. For bigger shops you'll find a SYNKA and a Lidl, both in easy walking distance.
