My room key kept deactivating and had no issue getting a replacement until yesterday (7/5/2023). The attendant scolded me, “ you guys need to stop putting them near cell phones and computers!” First of all, there’s no “guys” because I have my own room, alone. My associate has his own. Secondly, I kept my key in my pocket away from my tech gear after the multiple times the key stoped working. I told her room 3.2.1 but the key didn’t work and I came back down for a new key. Turns out she made it for room 307. I slid the bad key on the counter towards her to reactivate and she scolded again, “ you don’t have to throw the key at me!” I was stunned, “ I didn’t!” She raised an eyebrow and held a glare for a moment and finally gave me another key. It’s Sunday morning and I’d love to explore but don’t want to deal with her again if my key were to get deactivated . It’s my first and last time with this hotel chain.
