Premier Inn Stafford North (Hurricane)

Stayed just for one night on 03/04/25 with my wife and daughter. Location- Just off a busy road and close to M6. The town centre I would say is around 2 miles away. Room- the room was clean and had everything you could need. Room probably could do with some updating, not as nice as some of the other premier inns I have stayed in previously. We asked for a cot which was included but this was not made up and had no mattress. The cot was also too small for my daughter who is 22 months. We asked at the reception but there was no other cot size we were told. The other premier inns we have stayed in do have bigger cot sizes so could not understand this. Luckily, we had our own travel cot with us so had to use this instead. We were allocated room 214 which was looking at the back of the hotel, looking onto the busy road. I wouldn’t say we had a relaxing sleep as the road is loud and there are plenty of sirens going past through the night. Sadly, probably wouldn’t stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable but a little tired, could do with a makeover. Car parking spaces and a bit tight

No air con the room was so hot we had one small fan that didn’t work had the worst night sleep, me and the children have traveled 6 hours for my sons birthday and feel so poorly from how hot the room was

The worse night in a Premier Inn we’ve ever had. Stayed here for our wedding night. The temperature was sooooo hot that we was unable to sleep; asked for a fan and got one that fell apart and gave the wife an electric shock. Given a second fan and honestly I can fart stronger than it, absolutely useless, there’s no ventilation anywhere and no fresh air tune around in the building, it got to a point at 04:27 (time of writing this review) that we decided to sleep in the car as it was a heck of a lot comfier and much cooler. Can’t fault the lad on nights, he went above and beyond for us but his hands was tied, this building is seriously outdated, tired and worn out, just like my patience with the room.

Overall tired hotel. Needs a makeover. Clean comfortable bed and bathroom. Tv did not work and reception unable to sort. Confusing guidance about parking. Step over shower. Breakfast and dinner at adjacent pub operating as separate franchise.

If you like a room that’s 28 degrees with no air con, a truly exceptional and close up view of Screwfix warehouses, and the ability to play “guess the brand of truck thundering past the window all hours of the day and night” then I highly recommend this hotel. There is a fan in the room that’s basically like a small kitten gently blowing on your face , so that was very helpful. And it’s tired - needs moving up the estate renovation list for sure. I normally love a Premier Inn, but this one was rubbish.
