Crescent Beach Motel

Here’s the review I wish someone had written prior to our stay. Bottom line - the only thing they have going for them is access to the beach. The rooms are quite dated. There was hair in the tub, garbage under the sink and the mirror was ancient with severe deterioration. Multiple signs telling us what to do. One was pinned into the wall in bathroom. Shampoo came in a packet, that was a first! The screen had not been cleaned for decades, if ever. Breakfast is oatmeal in a package, hot water, coffee and a banana. I brought the key to drop off, once again I was met with a sign “No one is here until 11am, please leave key in room.” No thank you. I contacted the motel twice with this information as a courtesy giving the owners the opportunity to respond before writing this review. Crickets. For $152 there are other newer options. Park your car at public access and walk the beach.

The facility is well worn and could use a facelift. The room was small, but the deck and ocean is just outside the door. Great place to watch the sunset and fall asleep listening to the surf. Only stayed one night but would be nice to have an entire day there to relax and enjoy dipping my toes in the ocean.

Excellent Motel staff, clean room. Easy access to beach for long walks! The outdoor hose is handy for cleaning your feet and Sandles. You could have a fire on the beach to roast some mores. Loved it!

Another great stay at the Crescent Motel Taree. Owner was friendly and had our room ready upon arrival. The room was comfortable, clean, bed was comfortable, large screen TC with Netflix. Thank you again for another great stay.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable at a bargain price. Right on the beach so we woke to beautiful views and the sound of the waves crashing. Off for a walk on the beach now! Coffee, oatmeal & fruit offered for breakfast. Keurig in room.

Stayed here for one night, during a big storm. Sandra, the desk manager that night, could not have been more pleasant and helpful under trying circumstances. She got us an extra ice bucket, gave us restaurant info, and got our TV hooked back up (after the last guests had disconnected the cable to play video games)...all with a smile, as the wind was gusting and the rain was pouring down. The best part of the place is that it is situated virtually on the beach. It's amazing to see the waves coming toward you such a short distance away. The cons are that this is truly a budget motel, which means that there were only paper cups in the room, no mini-fridge, etc.
