Grand Hôtel du Golf & Palace

Not the hotel it apparently used to be! Dirt, dirt, dirt everywhere, rude general manager (Aloysia Ghio-Airaldi-Rielle) and poor state of building facilities. The experience we had in this hotel was far away from 5 stars (as advertised on booking sites). The owners clearly treat this hotel as a golden goose and don’t invest in it at all. The hotel is in dire need of repairs and upgrades, and the staff is doing their best to barely keep it going. 1. The rooms are extremely dirty with stains everywhere, and the furnitures are not functioning (cabinet doors held closed by paper, etc so it’s not falling open). 2. The common area is disgusting, every chair in the restaurant has stains on it, the walls are also stained and marked everywhere. 3. Spa is a disaster, steam bath is so old and not renovated, that the pieces of the wall stay in your body when you touch it (see the picture). The sauna was not working. 4. General manager Aloysia Rielle is rude, behaves like she is doing you a favor to let you stay there. Terrible and completely unprofessional treatment. Conversations with her are on the level of a 5 year old. She’s also saying to your face that the hotel doesn’t have a 5 star rating and the ranking on websites is not certified by the Swiss Hotels Association. 5. The crew doesn’t speak English, menu in the restaurant is not in English and no one is able to translate it properly. If you like clean hotels and a nice experience, this one is definitely not for you. Suggest you find something else in beautiful Crans Montana.

Gather the idea of spending your ski family holiday in a private Maison, where you experience the epitome of personalized service, in the warmest and most elegant atmosphere. The Mansion is beautifully decorated, in a contemporary fashion while respecting the original codes of a Swiss Chalet: Raw timber and stones, curated art pieces and a central fireplace! Same cozy ambiance in the suites: Raw elegance but optimal comfort and refinement: the suites are spacious with all amenities you can expect from a high end establishment: How about sipping a glass of local Pinot Noir in front of your private fireplace while admiring a panoramic view over the Swiss alps? Second to none! Gastronomy is the central gig: From the à la carte Breakfast to the Bistrot or fine dining restaurant featuring 1 Michelin Star, Chef Franck Reynaud offers a unique experience with locally selected products and sublime craftsmanship. Not to mention the wine list with an extensive selection of the very best of Valais vineyards amongst other classics. But what really sets this Maison appart, are the team and the people: They are animated by a unique spirit offering personalized service and genuine kindness with a lot of refinement but never overdoing it! Absolutely perfect. To conclude, this is the kind of hotel where you experience something really special… a bubble of timeless elegance. luxury for insiders. Can’t wait to be back.
