This hotel was an utter disappointment. We booked two nights here to celebrate my birthday after seeing the pictures of their beautiful grounds and rooms on their website. We were a party of 13 and had booked 5 rooms with them. All our party were put together on the ground floor except for my family who were on a completely different floor away from them. That was just the beginning of the disappointments. When arrived at rooms we realised were placed in a purpose built travelodge looking building behind the beautiful old 4 star hotel. The room smelt old, was dark and dreary and had disabled facilities (which none of us require). The worst part was the view of dirty linen bins and a brick wall outside our window! I immediately went to reception to ask them to move to move us. Unfortunately they were not initially helpful and told us they were full. We know there are nicer family rooms available as my sister had been placed in one that was much brighter, more luxury, nice view and larger bed! We so unhappy in that awful room that my husband approached them again to see what they could do. This time the lady said we can move tomorrow and she will upgrade us free of charge. The next day we were finally moved to a room that was exactly the same but on the ground floor with the rest of the family! What a ridiculously managed place. I told them it was my birthday before i arrived and they said they would inform housekeeping, however this was not acknowledged when I got there! My daughter also received quite a few bites so who knows how dirty the mattresses are in this place. Please, if you are looking for a peaceful 4 star hotel, De Vere Cranage Estate is not the place to choose. Don't ruin your break by being fooled into the pictures they show. I notice they have the standard 'Il pass your comments onto our general management team' which is why I haven't bothered to make a direct complaint, as this is just an excuse not to address any unhappy customers.

Wow I have had the most wonderful time with my girls this week. We felt very special, staff going other extra mile to help our stay more comfortable and to have a beautiful experience. Every staff member was happy to help, warm, welcoming and couldn’t t do enough for you. We would definitely stay again, my children would like to stay the week they enjoyed it so much. The pool was amazing and we went it every day also I used the Jacuzzi and sauna to some me too. Breakfast was calm and warming with a variety to choose from , my daughter had pancakes made by the chef and was very pleased. Lots of outdoor games for us to engage in and spent a lot of time using them and had lots of fun. The room was a great size, especially with a family so much space to move and play more games also the room had great facilities and amazing toiletries. Absolutely amazing experience and I would like to thank the team for how incredible they were, they really do make this hotel to be up there. Thanks again, looking forward to visiting again

Disappointed with our stay. When we entered our room the fan was incredibly noisy, I’m not usually one to complain but it was way too loud even with the bathroom door closed, after mentioning it to the reception they “had someone look at it, but all rooms are the same” I was surprised to hear this and it felt like we were being ‘fobbed off’. I ended up needing to put a towel over the fan in order to sleep. The following morning before checking out a number of rooms were being cleaned and I popped my head in to see if they were noisy, they weren’t which again makes me feel like reception didn’t care or even check. The meal took almost 3 hours and on a couple of occasions I had to get up and ask if the drinks were coming because they were so slow. The main itself I ordered a “special” and it was anything but… the rice was crunchy and it was one chicken breast cut in half, plonked on the plate. The grounds were lovely but very little to do. The leisure area was nice but the saunas were experiencing issues so didn’t reach temperature quickly. In the morning when getting breakfast I noticed the plates and glasses were dirty too. I have a video of the fan noise but I can’t upload unfortunately.

We had our wedding at de vere cranage estate on 27 July 2024 and it was the most amazing experience we had. We had amazing support and help from the staff there, always checking in on us on the run up to the wedding. Laura and yasmin who helped to plan our wedding were really helpful and had great suggestions for djs, photographers etc. The rooms we were in we lovely and they were so tidy and well presented. Couldn't recommend these guys enough.

We got married here on April 7th 2024 and it was the most wonderful day we could have asked for. Myself and the bridesmaids arrived the day before and had a lovely evening together in the hotel restaurant. The hotel then arranged a room to be available for us all in the morning to get ready in with breakfast brought to us which was perfect and meant we could all be together in the morning. We had our ceremony in the Appleton Suite which is a stunning room in the original part of the hotel that felt really intimate. Our main reception and evening do were in the Baird Suite, again the room suited our needs perfectly. We had about 70 day guests and 100 evening guests. From the canapés, to the wedding breakfast to the evening food, it was all delicious and delivered quickly and efficiently. The staff were brilliant and helped the day run so smoothly. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more and would 100% recommend De Vere Cranage Estate for any wedding or event. We had the best day and will always remember it ❤️

We were taking part in the Singer Owners Car Club Annual Rally held in the grounds. I have to say one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for four nights. Every member of staff and the quality of rooms were way above expectation. The management allowed three cars to be exhibited in the Grand Dinner on Saturday night. That has to be exemplary consideration beyond and above by a hotel management. If allowed to single out a couple of deserving commendations, Ian the welcoming at the door and Michelle the administration of event were absolutely superb and to be congratulated for their making the weekend so enjoyable. On arrival the whole estate looks very grand, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stopped in the Lovell suite that was very spacious with a great big bed (very comfortable) the tea and coffee facilities in the room were great. We booked for an evening meal service was a bit slow but the food was good. The bar area was lovely with a great selection of drinks. The use of the pool and spa was brilliant.

Booked for the night, room was a long way from reception to walk (my partner is disabled) hotel were pre informed, The room was tired and the bathroom door needed replacing due to door flaking from what looked like water damage, tiles in the bathroom were cracked and a large chip in the bath, we had one hand rail in the bathroom so not really what you would call disabled facilities! Bed was clean and comfortable, breakfast was really good. The one thing that will make us give this hotel another chance was the staff especially housekeeping, the young man waiting to clean rooms was fantastic and helped us when my partner fell ill, also the housekeeping supervisor who got us a wheelchair, a total credit to the hotel for their empathy professionalism.
