Allegro Cozumel All-Inclusive

I never leave a review but this time I have to. I would not recommend this resort it was the worst one I have ever been to. Customer service was terrible!! Only one restaurant open and had to stand in line for 45 minutes to make a reservation and had to wait couldn’t get a reservation for 3 days.

The property is great. They take really good care of the property and vegetation on the property. And the beach is the best I’ve been on while staying on Cozumel. The food however was bad. Hibachi and Mexican restaurants were ok, but the buffet dining for breakfast and dinner was poor. I expect the food to be somewhat mediocre at an AI, but the food at Allegro was less than mediocre. It was the same handful of selections for the entire 10 days of our stay. Nothing changed at all. No different themed meals from day to day, the same rice, chicken, vegetables, etc every day. It got old very quick. And then there’s the main dining area. It’s above the lobby next to the sports bar. It’s completely closed in with no ventilation or air conditioning of any kind. Did I mention it’s on the second floor? Be prepared to sweat your tail off while you’re trying to eat breakfast or dinner in this place. And lastly is the staffing. This place has no waitress or waiter services around the beach or pool. So if you’re in need of a drink at the pool or on the beach, be prepared to stand in line at the bar and wait. Also, the service staff at the restaurants are minimal. I had to find someone to ask for water or coffee at breakfast multiple days. Just not enough staff for a resort this size. It’s really a shame because the resort and beach are very nice. I will not be returning to this resort unless it changes ownership and makes some big time improvements in management.

The beach is beautiful, relaxing environment and secluded.
