Glen Isla House Bed & Breakfast Phillip Island

We stayed one night here and can thoroughly recommend it. The accommodation was well laid out, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, spotlessly clean and very convenient for Cowes, the beach and the penguins. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful with great communication and suggestions for local attractions. All faultless. Should have stayed longer!

Well, what can I say? I would give it 10 stars - if I could. The Glen Isla House on Phillip Island is a gem that there are far too few of. Magically situated in a superbly maintained garden with plenty of seating. Three rooms lead off from the main house on each side. We were first greeted by the actual boss - Buddy, who barked loudly, and then the owner Richard came and greeted us warmly. He asked for our first names and greeted us that way every time. He immediately gave us some tips for the island and then took us to our room (6). Magically furnished with a good bed, good bathroom and a separate room with the fridge. The bathroom has a skylight. The breakfast offered is small but nice. Everyone will find something from very tasty bread, Nutella, sausage, cheese, avocado, salmon, hard-boiled eggs and much more. Plus freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was presented very nicely by Richard and always ready for a bit of fun and small talk. When we checked out we were asked where we were going and there was genuine interest. There is enough parking on the property. If we ever return to Australia and Phillip Island, we will stop here again.

What can I say about this lovely property. I have stayed in many properties in Europe and UK and this one is up with some of the best. On arrival we were greeted by Richard and puppy - so friendly and welcoming. He explained the set up of Glen Isla. He also gave us his recommendations re tourist attractions, food etc. Richard then took us to our room. Elegantly decorated - colour co-ordination of room very nice, beautifully draped curtains and good size room. This property is beautifully presented from the gardens, big trees lining the driveway to the accommodation and the elegant sitting area that can be used at any time by guests. A big comfy chair in front of the fire is a must and a glass of sherry of course which is complimentary. The linen was beautiful, beds and pillows comfortable, very very clean and extremely quiet. Parking was available on the premise and there is a five minute walk to the beach, which is a must. Plenty of selection for breakfast - thank you Evie. Please keep up the good work you have a beautiful property and it is a must stay when in Phillip Island. If I could I would of taken the property home with me. Thorough enjoyed our stay.

Great experience. Clean rooms, great breakfast, central location and beautiful garden. Above all very friendly hosts. Perfect place to stay for a weekend at Phillip Island. Richard will help you finding your way around the island. All in all an excellent accommodation.

Very comfortable and welcoming, well located and quiet. A perfect stopover on Phillip Island. We were delighted with our room, delicious breakfast and the easy access to the beach. The location reminded me of homes in Louisiana-a wooden homestead within a lovely garden. Many thanks to Yvonne and Richard!

Beautiful accommodation, colonial style. Excellent en suite facilities ( shampoo/conditioner supplied). Peaceful location, min from the beautiful beach, easy walking distance to Cowes centre. Great hosts very attentive with excellent knowledge of surrounding area and attractions
