Manoir Sweetsburg

I guess my expectations were high. The staff were very nice, and the room and guest areas were nice and clean. Our room was large but it lacked any luggage racks or bench, table, desk, surface to put your luggage on so my husband's was on the floor at the foot of our bed. One available plug by the bathroom meant to charge your phone it was lying on the floor and hopefully it didn't get stepped on. No USB ports, or even a nightstand by our bed, it had built-in closets instead. One had shelves so my suitcase was on a shelf. I was looking forward to a nice B&B type breakfast (we have had some amazing ones at B&Bs ) so we were a little surprised that the cold continental breakfast WAS breakfast. We are here for 3 days. No housekeeping. But you can get fresh towels on request. Cowansville is about 15-20 minutes away from the towns you'll want to have dinner in. This is a convenient area to get to the other towns, wineries, artsy towns in this lovely area. Great recommendations by our hostess and even some 10% off coupons for a couple of places in the area. Don't miss Babar in Bromont. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms, so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There really isn't any comfortable furniture (1 iron table and chairs) to relax in outside even though there is a beautiful front porch and a porch in front of the back portion as well. You can go into the main house to a coffee station with a nice selection of coffee and tea at your convenience, at any time.

Such a great, clean comfortable room. Staff was welcoming and helpful. If you are in the area it's the best place to stay.

I thought it was beautiful. They had a lovely breakfast with no shortage of food. The people are genuinely kind.
