I stayed in this hotel with 2 of my co workers. I booked it with points in an emergency last minute and they were supposed to help pay me back in cash. The cash value that would have been for that night divided between 3. The hotel was nice and clean, the room was comfortable and felt clean. The entrance looked a little fancy as well. We were very happy but there was an issue. The holiday inns are known to have free breakfast. Every single Holiday inn is not supposed to charge you for breakfast. This Holiday Inn is the first exception. I added 4 people to my reservation but only 3 ended up staying. When we went to get breakfast, the staff informed me that they do things different there and instead of the free buffet, I would get a La carte food. And it would only be covered for me and one of my guests. For anyone wondering I am currently Platinum status. I would have to pay for one of the guests they stated. The waiters didn’t seat us and when my co worker asked them for a coffee they disregarded him and chuckled while laughing to themselves. I couldn’t hear what they said in all honesty. My co worker went up to get his credit card and went to the front desk to pay where they informed him I had payed with points and it only covers for 2 people and why he had to pay. He payed and was disgruntled when I asked him to pay his share of the room knowing I payed with points. Thinking it’s free for me and I’m taking advantage of them and he still had to pay breakfasts. I am disappointed as this was an issue that started for something that should have never been brought up as the breakfast should have been free and a buffet breakfast. I left the next day and didn’t book additional nights. I’m currently staying at another chain across the street. The hotel staff didn’t do anything to fix our stay nor did IHG. Overall our stay was ok but just know the breakfast isn’t what your used to.
