The Bay Hotel

We have been twice recently to The Bay Hotel, the first time we had the Sunday roast which was excellent and the second time we went with friends for lunch which was also top quality, all the food was very good, nicely presented and the service was very friendly and quick, we all had a really good afternoon. Will be back very soon.

The hotel exceeded expectations. The view was breathtaking, with a great breakfast served at the table. Nearby are Lizard Point, St. Michael’s, St. Kaverne... many sights and opportunities for hiking along the cliffs. The hotel itself is in a small fishing village, which is so charming with its offering of local food, houses, and views. The rooms are very small, but that didn’t bother my husband and me. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Lovely hotel, the gem of Coverack🥰. Visited Coverack for our yearly visit. Have visited all the eateries apart from the new Beach Cafe opened after we left. The Bay Hotel stands head and shoulders above them all. Staff, Hotel, Food, Cocktails and Service all 5 star. Manager passionate and knowledgeable about the wine list, which is fantastic to see. Would love to see some Cornish Wines in the future on the list. We visited for several cream teas, lunches and an evening meal and it was all first class. Recommend the Heavy Cake, delicious 😋

Coverack is lovely and well worth a visit. This grand looking hotel is ideally situated with views across the sea. We were warmly welcomed , and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was really spacious with a sea view. There was ample parking at no additional cost. Breakfast was really tasty. We couldn't fault this hotel and definitely plan to return.

I used to stay in Coverack as a child on family holidays in the 1970s so it was good to return to this beautiful village for an Easter break. The holiday farm no longer exists so my wife and I stayed in the Bay Hotel as it looked good on the website. As impressive as the Bay Hotel website it, we felt it did not do the hotel justice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the room looking out over the bay was sensational. We loved the ambiance of the hotel which was clean and comfortable. I have never had such a good view from a hotel before. This would be sufficient for a recommendation but the hotel is run by a really warm and friendly team. There is an excellent bar with local beer (recommended) and it is easily the best place to eat in the village. The chef is a culinary genius and the cooked breakfasts far surpass anything I have had elsewhere. Even the muesli is served with creative verve ! The evening meals are good too but the breakfasts alone make staying in this hotel worthwhile. Never experienced such creativity with breakfasts before. Really delicious. We are very keen to return to The Bay Hotel later this year and hopefully see a bit more of the beautiful county of Cornwall. I think most people will accept a moderate standard of hotel but The Bay Hotel was the icing on the cake for us. We felt the team really looked after us and that this hotel was something really special. Coverack is lovely and you could not wish for a better place to stay than the Bay Hotel . Since our wedding, we often go out for weekend breaks. However, I cannot recall ever staying anywhere as good as this. Easily the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Total perfection!

Came here for an evening meal. The food is home cooked and very nice. There is no children’s menu but can adapt any meal to make it suit. I would have liked a side of fresh vegetables but that was the only thing missing from the menu. The desserts were quite expensive so we didn’t have one. Afterwards we stayed and played some games in the very comfortable and relaxing lounge. Great views of the sea. The staff were so friendly and a real credit to the place. Definitely recommended and would visit again.
