From the second my friend and I arrived at reception, Lorenza and her staff were, as everyone has already said, smiling welcoming helpful and gave us more useful information than we could take in Room was perfect, lots of storage, little fridge and excellent lighting and warmth. So clean, new towels and sheets half way through the week. Bathroom well equipped even little toothbrush and paste in case you forgot yours. Lounge comfy and great for drinks and nibbles. Breakfast plentiful and delicious the ski room was perfect too Manuel took us to the gondola each morning, recognising our skies from the first morning and loading them up onto the shuttle bus. Collection for return journey was always prompt and on time Lovely position, lots of restaurants and bars for all tastes Thank you all for our week Will return

We stayed at Hotel Crampon in January 2025 and had an excellent stay at this cosy family hotel. Service was super friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean with mountain views. Shuttle minibus from hotel door to Dolone ski lift is very convenient. Highly recommended!

Hotel crampon is ideally located close to the centre of courmayeur. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and provide a free shuttle bus to the bottom of the ski lift. Order a drink at the bar and you get a selection of local salami, cheese, olives and crisps to nibble on. We had a fantastic time for a long weekend skiing and I would highly recommend it.

We were able to check in early & one of the lovely ladies who runs this Hotel even came out to offer advice on where to park our rather large truck. The room was cosy & had everything you needed with a lovely little balcony overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was very varied & plentiful. We had a drink with tapas on the first evening in the inviting cozy bar with gorgeous modern log fire. It was served by a very affable young man who spoke perfect English & was very friendly & interesting. We did not have time to ski on this occasion but would drfinitely return & would highly recommend.

Just the best hotel. Lorenza, her sister and staff work so hard to make this hotel, friendly, warm and inviting. Everywhere is spotless, the bedrooms, bathrooms, main rooms of the hotel - I’ve never seen such a clean hotel. The breakfasts were outstanding, fresh and plenty of variety. Lorenza also helped with restaurant recommendations in Courmayeur which were spot on. We loved the hotel bar and appetisers/snacks which were most welcome on our return from skiing. Courmayeur is a fabulous ski resort and village. Our favourite yet! Also loved the family Grivel history to climbing and making the first ever Crampon, hence the hotel name. Thank you Lorenza - regards, Friends Thomas, Bowden and Evans. See you next year!

The room was nice but the staff was very rude. We arrived at 8am on the bus from Chamonix to see our friend go through in an ultra marathon, 2 employees were at the front talking and drinking coffee less than ten feet from the front door and wouldn’t answer it for 45 minutes then told us we couldn’t put our bags inside to catch our friend going through so we had to carry our bags up to the ski area. They were very rude about it despite us asking nicely. Our room was also dirty in several aspects with ***** hair in the sink and soiled white underwear on the floor next to my side of the bed. They didn’t come up to fix it that day so we had to clean the bathroom and the whole floor was filthy.

Thank you Lorenza and all at Hotel Crampon for making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the location is really great for access to the ski lifts and a very short walk to the beautiful town centre. I do think this is the nicest ski hotel I've stayed at in Europe - so clean and the beds were very comfortable. And the breakfast was amazing. Thanks again et a la prochaine!!!!

A VERY welcoming friendly family run hotel. Highly recommend this for anyone, if they have availability. Easily walkable to bars and restaurants, surprised at the shuttle to the lift in the mornings/evenings. Brekkie was great, possibly a little too much consumed for the day ahead.! We only stayed for a weekend but wished it had been a week. Courmayeur has some great skiing and we were lucky to have a car and went to La Thuile where the skiing was more challenging - Hotel can arrange all this and a great deal more.

Steeped in mountain history this traditional family run hotel is a gem. Run by 2 sisters whose grandpa forged the first crampon for climbers, they go the full distance to make you welcome, from a delicious platter of local snacks to accompany your bar drinks to a thermos and preferred tea for a very early departure. The location is great and for skiers they run a complimentary bus shuttle to and from the main Dolonne lift. We loved our stay and would warmly recommend the Hotel Crampon.
