La Tortuga Hostel

La Tortuga is one of the best hostel in Tenerife,The volunteers were exceptional; they make you feel at ease and involve you every day in various daily activities, both sporting and social. The shared kitchen is well organized. Exceptional cleanliness: every day there are cleaning shifts for the common areas, and with each guest change, the bed is sanitized with a steam cleaner and thoroughly cleaned. Highly recommended.!!

Tortuga Hostal was a great experience! First of all the staff is great. Very good vibes & welcoming. But also the activities in and outside the Hostel are super cool. Free Yoga, Hiking or the famous barbecue event every week.. just great! What we also really liked was the WhatsApp group that helped us to organize a night hike to the top of teide to watch the sunrise. Moreover, the overall cleanness of the hostel was excellent at all times, especially the two kitchen that where available to the guests. Plus they take good care of the potential bedbug risks! We can't wait to come back :)

great people and great staff ! a hostel where it never gets boring supermarket and beach is in perfect reach within 10min you get everything you need Small breakfast in the morning and also activities with the whole hostel like watching rhe sunset all together every Sunday or going to a bar with live music every Wednesday or sometimes doing a bbq with all together. Great to connect with new people and having a perfect time in Tenerife ! i planned to stay 3 nights and in the end I left after 4 weeks.. attractions like masca/teide/agana forest are all within a 1h car drive. Would recommend and come back any time !!

Our stay at „La Tortuga hostel“ was amazing! Right from the start untill the end all the hosts have been constantly super nice with us. The housekeeping was especially nice, they even did put together our fresh washed cloth. We couldn’t imagine a better stay! Everyday they purpose in the WhatsApp group great activities (sunsets, yoga, visits of bars with great Spanish live music,…). It’s the right place to get in contact with other travelers and to spend an amazing vacation! We totally recommend this place !

Stayed at this hostel for 2 months and 3 weeks in total, and it blew my mind. Before arriving I was extremely curious and excited to be on Tenerife this long and staying in a hostel with insanely good reviews. All I can say about the hostel is positive. The hostel is made up of (mostly) two houses right next to eachother: Want some time on your own and chill alone? Go to T2 (tortuga 2). Want to see and meet a lot of people and integrate in a really warming environment? Stay in T1 (tortuga 1). To me, it all eventually felt like home with a kind of family, who in reality were mostly people I only have known for a few weeks and sometimes even less. The bbq night on wednesday brings all the people together with tasty food and good music. Especially the nights where there is a concert live at the hostel!! The rooms are clean, the staff and the volunteers are extremely inviting, welcoming, open and fun. The kitchen and bathroom have anything you need. This hostel has everything.
