Not much doing in the town but full of history and very beautiful. Good amenities and host service. Breakfast included was a sufficient start to the day, and enjoyed sitting on the verandah feeling the wind off the water. Noise carries at night, all the guest rooms are very close to each other. Overall, great place to stay for a great Aussie experience.

The Cossack accommodation is a fantastic stop. Rooms are large, lovely and clean. Dot the host goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. The continental breakfast is a great touch. This was my second stay and I don't think it will be our last.

We loved Cossack! The accommodation is comfortable, clean albeit unflashy. The stone architecture of the town is stunning. The cafe food was also delicious. The staff at the accomodation, cafe and museum are great too. We especially loved it once the caravans and tourists left for the day and we had the beautiful sunset and views of the mangroves to ourselves. Just cover up for sandflies when the winds are still. I won’t wait 25years between visits next time!
