The Forge

Welcome to a precious gem - to visit the Forge resembles going on a trip to a different planet, the one of respect among natural world and humans. This is a place of Trees - they go before everything else and we all learn from them here. Dip in a crystal clean pond, breathe in the sauna, morning bird watching and nighttime star gazing, with the most thoughtful organisation and provision of all details you may need - 3 nights make you feel rested as if you were away from the world for 3 weeks. Please come if you respect the nature as the forge family does.

We had a wonderful stay at The Forge. We stayed in the old gypsy caravan with little log cabin and it was splendid. Beautiful setting and really helpful hosts. A magical spot.Our cabin had everything we needed and the off grid hub provided plenty of light in a dark sky setting. We can’t recommend this relaxing and peaceful retreat enough. Close proximity to Llangollen provided much to do too. Perfect

The perfect weekend! My daughter booked me this as I’m in a bit of a tizzy with life! I went solo and have never felt so nervous on the journey, worrying about being on my own and sharing a tent with a stranger, having a fear of spiders just added to my stress. I pulled up and hoisted (reluctantly) my rucksack on my back and walked a few yards to the hut where I was greeted and hugged by Sheena and Hattie, I cried.. totally overwhelmed by the whole thing. Anyway it was such a nice welcome and I was shown to my tent.. a luxurious tent I might add! Hot water bottles, fluffy blankets, sofa etc.. a fully equipped kitchen!! A stove and a gorgeous welcome pack of chocolate etc.. this is where my journey started of meeting some fantastic people, eating scrumptious food (I dribble as I write) and learning the rules and the fun of the wild swimming world I’m now so happy to be in. Nothing was to much trouble for Hattie and Sheena, they worked so hard to make our weekend a relaxed and happy one and they did this with ease, the love they have for this is so evident in all they do to make you feel alive is incredible! We swam in a pond, lakes, rivers and the sea and we had wood burners and a lovely local story teller, it’s truly a weekend that just keeps giving and I highly recommend it! I’ve been back over a week and my heart is still there, this has opened up my life to a whole new level I didn’t know existed.. thank you to all that was there that weekend, and to Sheena and Hattie for the total devotion you have to out outside living.. the way you embrace life and all that nature brings. Go see for yourselves, it’s a weekend I’ll never forget!
