An absolutely fantastic little B&B that is walking distance from Cortona city center. Located just above Cortona in the small community of Torreone, this place looks to be recently renovated all the way around. The rooms are average sized, but extremely neat and clean. There are only 7 or 8 rooms and we lucked out and got one facing the rear, with an amazing view of the Cortona Valley and the nearby lake, Lago Trasimeno. Same views at poolside as well. The place is managed by a lovely lady named Sylvia, who was extremely helpful and inviting. The Bed part of this place was very very nice, but the Breakfast part was over the top extraordinary for anything we could've hoped for. A variety of fresh fruits, Cornetti, meats, cheeses, quiches, fresh made juices and teas and made to order eggs and omelets. And, of course, cappuccino and espresso. Being that there are only so many rooms, parking is not a problem as you can park on either side of the street. The direct walk to Cortona is a mostly flat 1 mile walk that takes a steep decline the last 100 yards, so the walk back starts off a little steep, but very doable. Dark but pretty walk at night too. The longer walk is less steep and goes passed Villa Bramasole, from the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun." This walk also goes through a very nice tree lined park just before arriving in Cortona and only adds about 10 more minutes. There is also a very nice authentic Cafe/Restaurant 40 yards down the road, if you don't feel like going anywhere, "Caffe del Torreone." Great patio to have a coffee or pizza. We spent 16 days all over Italy, and this was our favorite place to stay....Highly Recommend you stay here.

We are getting married tomorrow and are staying here for our honeymoon!This is the only place I will stay when I’m here! The view, the food and very professional! Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit, I can promise you, you will be ecstatic you did!!

What an AMAZING place. I RECOMMEND HIGHLY. The venue is picturesque and calming. The owner is from Cortona and VERY EXPERIENCED in the hospitality industry. We went for a lovely lunch that started with antipastos on the patio near the pool. We then went inside to the dining area and had a lovely four course lunch with wine pairings including dessert. Locando Agli Amici is a magical, calming place and I can’t with until my next visit. 🙌🏾🙌🏾💝

Perfect accommodation / perfect food / perfect cleanliness This proved to be the perfect location for a base with plenty of options nearby, no parking issues and views to die for The hospitality of the hosts exemplary, whats not to appreciate, mixed with the unique, picturesque and idyllic locale, no complaints at any level from us We are looking forward to our next visit Holly and Ray woz here

This has to be a 5 star stay. We initially chose Locanda agli Amici as they had an outdoor pool whilst walking distance into Cortona Town centre. Both were big ticks as there aren't many accommodation options in Cortona with a pool and we wanted a place to relax and explore. The views from here are beautiful and tranquil. The rooms were a good size and comfortable beds plus the breakfast was amazing - one of the very best we have come across in Italy. However the gem of this place is the hospitality. Silvia went above and beyond for us in terms of making our stay enjoyable and was very helpful to answer any questions we had at any point in the day. For the price, this place is an absolute steal and would recommend to everyone.

What a gem! Located at a perfect walking distance from the center of Cortona, this place has it all. Great views overlooking the Tuscany valley. Quiet and away from the crowded streets. Lovely pool area. Excellent rooms also with great view. And the breakfast.... Oh my... Such a treat! Silvia runs this place with warmth, professionalism and care. She goes the extra mile to help out with anything from restaurant suggestions to interesting day trips. Don't be fooled by the not so great google-map-photos of this place. It is a gem!
