Discovery Island Resort

Потрясающее райское место. От отель брали экскурсию на озеро Баракай, очень приветливый персонал, разнообразное меню, шикарный бассейн. Провели 2 ночи.

Nature at it's best with the resort being the only thing on the entire tropical island!! Not only is the journey to the island epic on the little boats powering thru the azure green waters, the destination itself is nothing short of a jewel. Blessed with clear waters, a rich marine ecosystem & amazing facilities. The accommodation where we stayed were the sunset villas right on the beach. I think there were about 20 odd where u step out of the room right on to the beach. The views are mesmerizing wherever you choose to enjoy it from. The out door sofa, the hammock or the deck chairs. Kudos to the management for taking effort to design cohesive structures that go with the tropical island theme. The other available accommodations are further in land in a ground + 3 structure. The restaurant & the coffee shop have some great treats awaiting for any time of the day. The attentive & courteous staff make it even more special. If you are a nature person be ready for close encounters of birds at your feet during the breakfast or even the monitor lizard ( a native of that island) gently ambling by your table!!! The facilities offered by the resort included snorkelling , island hopping tour (with picinic lunch) & also a guided trek. Enough options if one is keen. The room itself was well appointed with comfortable bed & an overall wooden ambience that makes you feel at home on the island. The sunsets are something real special and we had the opportunity to enjoy a dinner set on the sands by the hotel staff. This surely is the stuff where special memories are made. Given that it takes a flight, small road trip & a boat ride to just reach the destination, it s totally worth the effort just to be there. Highly recommended for special occasions, families, couples or even friends.

I can’t say enough good about this place. The staff are delightful. The cottages are authentic and very spacious, all with incredible views. The beds are a little hard, but that’s not a big problem. The bar and cocktails especially are lovely. The pool is relaxing. The sunsets, oh the sunsets, are just amazing. It’s so nice to be away from the hustle and battle of Coron and able to relax at the end of a long day. Can’t recommend it enough. Will definitely stay here if I’m back in Coron.

It was a best island and view with great service from Sinag and Fire Fish. Food selections was great at Fire Fish. Sinag staff were friendly but the food serving was slow maybe because we arrived at restaurant and busy. The terrible experience we had was the bed bugs.Our skin is almost wounded because it was so itchy, we end up spending out time outside. We raise our concern to front desk but they just change the blanket and the sheet. So better be careful with the bed bugs it will ruin your vacation. Toilet were clean but staff must orient their guest to the steps elevated at the toilet and it’s slippery. No bath maths at all. So you need to request. They were very generous with the snacks delivered to your room too, complimentary foot wash. Jude service was outstanding from the bar and serve us outside near the beach. Overall we will still come back but we will make sure the Bed is clean up again when we arrive.

Discovery resort is a fabulous way to access the incredible opportunities to experience coron without the crowded noisy feel of Coron Town. There is a freely available boat to take you into Coron Town that is only a 10 minute trip and in itself fun and beautiful. They were prepared and ready to get you into town, at any time day and evening. The resort restaurant is perched right on the mangroves and the afternoon sunsets were extraordinary. We ate most of our meals at the resort on our five day stay and felt that the food was freshly cooked till very high standard. So glad we had an extended stay so we could slowly enjoy the many day trips out to Coron and then retreat to what felt like a secluded Oasis.
