Irene is an absolutely stellar host - goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Our room had a gorgeous view of the Allihies beach and bay. Spent four nights there and enjoyed some spectacular walks - Dursey Island, Crow Head, Dunboy castle and more… Irene makes a fabulous hot breakfast and we were even able to order sandwiches for our walks. One of Irene’s delicious tuna sandwiches from atop Dursey island was the best! It’s a remote location and takes awhile on narrow roads to get there, but well worth the effort. Would go back without hesitation!!

We stayed 3 nights at Beachview in Allihies on our Beara Way walking holiday. The B&B was excellent: clean, quiet, comfy beds, sitting room, superb breakfast with many hot choices as well as fresh fruit salad, a welcoming host who drove us to the pub and made some arrangements for us, picturesque view of the beach, books, cookies, tea in the room and more. An excellent experience and highly recommended.

I had promised my husband many times over the years that I would bring him to Dursey Island and we finally made the trip from Dublin. It was a last minute booking and Irene went out of her way to fit us in. We stayed in the pods at the rear of the house and we can only give five stars, Irenes hospitality is superb, there is always a warm hello and friendly chat when you meet her and her family. If you go to Allihies you have to stay here!

We were a group of six walking women and had a fantastic stay at Beachview Bnb. Lovely welcoming host, fine breakfast that was delicious with loads of variety. We were offered a lift to and from pub for dinner which was great after a long days walking. Highly recommended.

This B&B is exceptional. Irene and her family are lovely hosts who could not be more helpful. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom has everything you could need and a lovely hot shower, and everything is spotlessly clean. The home-cooked breakfast is fantastic, with all the traditional options and so much more. We stayed while walking the Beara Way and had a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

We were walking the Beara Way, and stayed two nights at this B&B. We had a double room with it's own separate bathroom. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable. The B&B has a superb view of the beach and bay at Allihies. Our host, Irene, really helped us out with taxi pick-ups and baggage transfers, and supplied us with a good packed lunch and superb breakfasts - special mention for the brown soda, and the breakfast scones - which were both delicious. A really welcoming and special place.

The view from our room was amazing. The room was very clean and well equipped. Best of all Irene couldn’t do enough for us. We enjoyed the 15-20 mins walk to O’Neills but Irene was happy to shuttle folk there that didn’t fancy the walk. This is one of the best places we have stayed in Ireland and we hope to return in the future.

This B&B is one of the two best that my family and I have stayed in Ireland over the past 10 years. We have returned there 7-8 times because of the clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms, the great view and location near the town of Allihies, and the gracious hospitality of the owner, Irene. Her breakfast spreads are legendary and provide enough variety and sustenance for most of the day! The rates are more than reasonable considering the quality and value provided.

We rate Irene’s B&B top of all The Beara Peninsula we experienced. Room is perfect and breakfast top of our trip. Fresh mixed fruit,cheeses,scones ,breads and all super fresh with a choice of a big breakfast and sandwiches to go. Irene is charming and more than accommodating as she doesn’t hesitate to race back and forth to take us up to the local pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend!
