The Otesaga Resort Hotel

Our recent stay at the historic Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York, was excellent! With its meticulously manicured lawns and maintained landscaping, the Otesaga reflects the beauty, grace, and grandeur of its natural setting. Its location on the southern shore of Otsego Lake is ideal, with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding hills. It's a short walk to Main Street and the Baseball Hall of Fame, and only a few minutes' drive to the excellent Fenimore Art Museum and informative Farmers' Museum. Our room was well appointed and reflected the historical significance of this town, which was founded by the father of author James Fenimore Cooper. The fine quality bedding and towels helped make our stay comfortable and special. And the lake view from our windows—outstanding! The food and wine at the hotel's fine dining restaurant 1909 was very good, the server Karla was friendly and attentive, and the manager Brian was excellent! One pleasant evening we dined on the 1909 outdoor veranda with a perfect view of the sunset over the lake. The hotel's staff were always friendly and helpful, especially Matias manning the reception desk. I really appreciated his above-and-beyond effort to find us the perfect room with a lake view. I'm not surprised that he was just named Employee of the Month! Congratulations, Matias! Cooperstown is one of the best destinations in New York State for viewing the fall foliage, especially during peak color. I can strongly recommend the Otesaga Resort Hotel as an outstanding hotel at a beautiful upstate New York destination.

Nice hotel with a great staff services. Very helpful and proactive staffs. The breakfast is delicious and as per the preference. Look forward to visit again in the future............... Keep up the same work and thanks to everyone for making the stay more pleasant!

The hotel was well maintained, the staff was nice and the spa was excellent. There was a fire in the lobby that was great to sit next to with a drink in hand. Would highly recommend to couples for a night or weekend away. We had an issue with the thermostat in the room and they made it right, great customer service!

We arrived here for a work retreat and were immediately captivated by the beautiful grounds and scenery. Add on top of that that every employee that works here is genuinely happy and an amazing human and that makes for a great stay. The food here is also incredible, not one bad meal, in fact if you go, you must try the French onion soup. In any case, we had an incredible time and would absolutely return!

Almost perfect. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Ideal location. Nice room. Great Staff. Nice Breakfast. Just need EV chargers for Electric Vehicles… I noticed a few EVs in the parking lot and the town seems to lack them. It’s time to offer this for your clientele.

You will not be disappointed! Staff was courteous and accommodating. The resort was very clean and inviting with the well placed couches and chairs in front of the fireplaces. The views of the lake were gorgeous even in the winter. Best of all was the restaurants and options for delicious choices.
