We had an “interesting” stay at the Meyer Hotel over a Saturday and Sunday night. The room had a Keruig and plenty of pods, but no cups. The bathroom had no soap. The room we were in was a 2-bedroom unit. The main bedroom had the bath off of it, the second, smaller bedroom was off the main bedroom. If guests staying in the second bedroom needed access to the bathroom, they had to go through the main bedroom. Great for kids, but cozy if you have 4 adults. The A/C was provided by a noisy window unit in the smaller bedroom. If the door to the second bedroom was closed the small bedroom got all the A/C and the large bedroom got none. What was not disclosed was that an “event” was happening on Saturday night, live music and food in the courtyard outside our room. Fortunately, we were at a rehearsal dinner and did not return until “quiet time”, which started at 10 pm. On Sunday morning I attempted to watch TV in the smaller bedroom. The cable lineup was under the remote. But the TV did nothing. Going to the office I was told that they cancelled the cable and went to Roku. The TV in the larger bedroom had a Roku remote, but the TV in the second bedroom did not. The TV there was basically dead. This is an old, quaint facility. If you have noisy guests on the floor above your room, you basically hear most of what is going on. I’m sure most of the kinks will be worked out. My recommendation would be to inquire about the room layouts, the A/C setup, and if any special events are scheduled during your stay.
