Manoir d'Hautegente

We were privileged to be able to stay at this charming and quaint hotel on a group tour. Our room was lovely-just refurbished- it had a lovely tub and shower, wonderful products. The staff both for the hotel and restaurant were wonderful! The resident animals added the perfect touch. Sit by the fire and have drinks! The restaurant serves wonderful dishes and they can’t be more accomodating. Be amazed at the innkeeper. Mary Jo, and her energy and friendliness ♥️

I was a guest of the Manoir d'Hautegente this past May, and I felt delightfully transported back in time (yet had every comfort and modern amenity I could ask for). This property is exceptionally beautiful, historic, and is just remote enough in the French countryside to feel like a true getaway. Staying at this family-run property, you are made to feel like a guest of a private home rather than simply a hotel guest, because the staff are so attentive and warm, and the setting so grand, yet relaxed. Also very welcoming were the resident ponies who freely roamed about the lawns and were happy for any guest attention they could get. I was here with a small group tour of the area, so much of our day was away from the property, but I would have loved to take advantage of the gorgeous pool and to have walked the grounds. Mornings began with a picture-worthy, white tablecloth breakfast spread, and in the evenings, we enjoyed outdoor apéros and glimmering candlelight dinners. I sincerely hope to return in the future!

Cette propriété de charme est nichée dans un écrin de verdure traversé par une jolie rivière . Une grande piscine, des jeux, et de bons gâteaux sont mis à votre disposition. L’accueil est courtois. La chambre dans un bâtiment excentré était grande et très calme. Le lieu incite à la détente. Pas de restaurant ce soir là sur site . Nous nous sommes donc restaurés au bistrot qui appartient également aux propriétaires avec une cuisine simple d’un rapport qualité prix un peu élevé au regard de la prestation.

Calme, accueillant , très bonne table , vaut un petit détour et sortir de l'autoroute entre l'ouest et l'est .

Nuit au manoir et repas gastronomique : au top ! ( nous avions réservé avec une Wonder Box ) Nuit calme dans un environnement bucolique au top. Accueil parfait, y compris pour notre chien . Repas à la table du manoir avec le menu " Plaisir " : un délice du début à la fin . Les vins sont chers par contre... Nous y reviendrons sûrement lors d'un prochain passage dans le Périgord, et/ou coffret cadeau pour nos enfants .

Cadre idéal pour un séjour de détente au son de l'eau qui s'écoule. Personnels très attentionnés et à l'écoute.
