Poor hotel, 5 stars more like zero stars, I do not recommend !! Not sure how this hotel is classed as 5 stars because whilst on surface the reception/ lobby area, pool, patisserie on lobby floor and in dining hall & spa looks all glam and yeah you get the wow factor walking in but after that everything is rubbish. You always see staff cleaning the front entrance and lobby area and see staff by pool area collecting glasses and rubbish but behind the scenes it's a different case. Checking in at reception - no smile or welcome from staff. At check-in everytime i asked a question about anything the answer was always speak to guest relations. I arrived late in the evening, guest relations is open from 10am if you are lucky. And I only found this out by asking myself -no notices anywhere of guest relations opening and closing times. Room had a good pool and sea view -that was the best thing about it. The bathroom was dirty, room was filthy with dust and dirt, looked like it had never been cleaned. This was the same everyday throughout my stay nothing changed. I get that the hotel may be trying to be eco-friendly but the hotel should say what day they change bed sheets or if they don't change them for your whole stay because in a week the sheets were never changed, they won't change bed sheets unless you ask - Rude much - yes !! The carpet in the hallway directly outside the room was dirty and stained and looked like it had never been vacuumed or cleaned in its lifetime. It was like this everyday throughout my stay nothing changed. Animation team was very disappointing and unprofessional and always bothering you. Read the room - some guests don't want to be bothered by sleazy animation staff. The hotel has a club on minus 3 floor and for winter concept it's open 3 days Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 at night until around 1/1.30am. The drinks inside the club are chargeable. Best to get drinks from the lobby bar and take them down with you. Entertainment was a joke they never had enough seats for guests to enjoy the entertainment. Why have 200 plus guests and a small amphitheatre and a even smaller Irish bar that fits no where near that amount of people and it was the same case in the lobby never enough seats for the amount of guests at hotel so entertainment cannot be enjoyed. One restaurant is open for a la carte for winter concept and I was advised it's only open every Wednesday and you can go for free once every 14 night stay. If you are staying less days you cannot book the a la carte restaurant. Food - yes there is something everyone will always find to eat and plenty of food in the buffet dining hall. But the issue is the food was generally always cold and overcooked to an inch of its life. I don't expect to be eating overcooked food or cold chicken or cold liver or cold adana at dinner or cold pancakes at breakfast.
