We arrived at approximately 20:00. The check-in process was slower than usual due to a technical issue with the front desk computer. Upon entering the room, we found it to be in an acceptable condition, although it appeared somewhat dated and in need of refurbishment. Nevertheless, the room was clean. Breakfast was served at the adjacent Greene King pub, which is not directly affiliated with Premier Inn. However, they were providing breakfast service for Premier Inn guests. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was disappointing. The food was dry and lukewarm. It is unclear whether temperature checks are conducted for the buffet, but it would be advisable to implement such measures. While I acknowledge that this issue falls under the purview of Greene King and not Premier Inn, I believe that Premier Inn staff should conduct periodic quality checks to ensure that their standards are being met. The courteous receptionist did provide us with a refund for the breakfast. Overall, I would consider staying at this Premier Inn again, but I would opt to have breakfast elsewhere.
