Dovedale Hotel and Restaurant

I've just spent a couple of weeks in the Dovedale while waiting for my house to complete and couldn't have been made more welcome. I had a lovely room with balcony which was great for having a beer on these warm summer nights. Rooms where cleaned daily. Parking was not an issue as there's parking around the back, on the road or public car park which is a 2 minute walk and is free from 18.00 to 8.00. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Location of this hotel is amazing, right in the middle of everything but set back from the main road as not to be to noisy. Thanks to Christian, Tom and the team... i really enjoyed my stay here and even though I'm from Cleethorpes i will be back for a few cold ones in the beer garden...........

We picked this hotel specifically because it offered parking, in a central location. It is located a short walk from the High Street and the beach. We took a suite at the rear of the hotel which was clean and fresh and had a holiday feel to it. The suite was cool despite the hot day and had a separate bathroom and lounge area. Parking is limited, but we were able to park without issue. There is a row of 4 parking spaces with a further double row immediately in front of these meaning that double parking is the method here. Breakfast was very adequate for the price (although the mushrooms could have been a little warmer), but in retrospect I would have paid the £3 supplement and gone with the large cooked breakfast. Overall, pretty good. Suite cost £170 for a 1 night stay for 2 people with breakfast.

Hotel nice and clean friendly staff well worth the money food was nice bar prices reasonable only thing wrong was the mattress was hard but that won't put me off to stay again car park was great plenty spaces for parking stone throw away from the town and beach front

Was booked as a surprise for a much needed date night with the husband. We're local to the area anyway but we were having a long overdue night out in Cleethorpes. Good location, walking distance from the bars and restaurants but far enough away from all the noise. Room was clean and had everything you'd expect. Breakfast was included with our booking and was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was supposed to be a 2 nights retreat and time away for the Wife and myself after a very challenging few months. The Wife recommended it having a family birthday meal here in the resturant a few years back. Which was at a very high enjoyable standard. I phoned the Dovedale Hotel before arriving to book a table to have a evening meal to be told the resturant side of things for evening meals have been stopped 2 years ago. When we arrived to the very small car park behind the hotel. Do beware of this as you can be blocked in by other vehicles parking in the bays behind you, nowhere to park on front of Dovedale Hotel as the hotel is situated on a small narrow side street. Reception was to a okay standard. When checked in the hall entrance was to a very outdated standared. The standard double room we stayed in was to a very bland standard, not very welcoming for £115 per night. The bathroom shower was full of black mould, rust, hairs, dents and chunks out of wall and years and years of dust & grime in slots of radiator. We left the room and spoke with reception not being happy and with the lack of resolvement of the issue asked for a full refund. The guy on Reception agreed the room was not upto par from the photos i had taken and showed him. He then informed me he would get the manager to ring me in the morning and checked us out. I rang the Manager the next day who highly lacked on managering skills. Refused to give me full refund after agreeing the shower was, his exact words dilapidated state! I asked if i could speak to owner, "They live in Spain" he replied, "i cannot give you their email address as it their personal information, Email me with your issue and i forward it to them!" Okay give them my phone number to ring me, "they will not ring you" 🤣 Think this so called Manager thinks Customers where born yesterday! Even for a standard double room the price was well over priced for, the manager words "dilapidated state"!!!!

Fantastic little hotel. Had 3 night midweek minibreak, which ticked all our boxes. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very importantly it was dog friendly, our pup was given a chopped up sausage each morning. Breakfast superb, lovely quality items- perfect poached eggs! Would definitely return and recommend .

I stayed at this hotel whilst doing work at Humberston School in 2004 when Julie and Gary Rockhill ran the hotel (They may still do so?) The accommodation was excellent, the rooms spacious and clean. No flat screen TV's then though! I was lucky that my agency paid for the room through the school holidays, and I was able to take my sons to Mablethorpe, Manby,Lincoln,, RAF Coningsbury (1 st deployment of Typoons- Eurofighter) Battle of Britain Flight, Model railway etc. Plus, the Winter Gardens, the Blues club, Great little location.

We had a wonderful stay. My wife has mobility problems but we're given ground floor accomodation. Sam, the young man on reception was particularly helpful serving us coffee with a smile very good customer service.There was another young man who was very pleasant but didn't get his name well done to both these chaps a great credit to your hotel
