Premier Inn Clacton-On-Sea (Seafront)

This hotel absolutely falls short of what you should expect from a Premier Inn. Whilst you expect basic, the package is usually delivered to a reasonable standard, this hotel didn’t meet the mark. Location-wise the hotel was great for where I was working. Parking was sufficient. Outside of the above, unfortunately the perks end there. There is little-to-no phone signal in the hotel. I couldn’t make any texts/calls in the room and signal was non-existent in the reception and restaurant. The free WiFi was poor and did not allow me to be able to complete any work on my laptop. The restaurant has an EXTREMELY limited menu. Unless you have dinner included, I highly recommend you dine elsewhere due to the lack of choice. The rooms require an overhaul. Hygiene was not the best and as you will see in other reviews the interior is beginning to show its age.

I like to go somewhere that has some bad reviews as well as good because then I know that they were made by real people and not these companies that pay to receive good reviews. I also realise that some people will never be happy and always spend their time being negative. Here is our take on it. We arrived with an electric car, but the electric hook up didn't like us, but that was fine Morrisons was nearby and had loads! Had no trouble parking onsite, though it is £7 each 24hrs, but free to come and go and pay on exit, so don't forget that! No sign of bedbugs as someone mentioned and had a lovely premier plus room on the 2nd floor. It had a fabulous view of the sea and pier with a lovely chair to sit in. (Rm 204). Room very clean, so thanks to the pleasant friendly cleaners we met. Yes you have to step into the bath for the shower, yes no bath mat to harbour germs, so just hold on as the shower is fantastic. Breakfast was much better the 2nd day with Daniel cooking and the ladies Alison and Holly were very welcoming clearing up after us. Friendly booking in, and yes, a little trouble with the key card but that's the system and not the staffs fault! Just chill! Would definitely stay again and we are sad to leave. Well done to everyone here as you've made our stay wonderful thank you.

Staff were so friendly. I experienced so many travel delays that I ended up getting to the hotel after midnight, but the staff made it so much less stressful and made sure there was a warm welcome and easy check in! The hospitality is brilliant.

I payed for a room at premier inn clacton sea front?although £221,for 1 night 0was exstreemly expensive my ex husband was buying a caravan in clacton.in the room seemed OK it was only til the lights were off I could see black things on the white sheets.i turned light on an these bedbugs started to appear from under sheets,but I.d obviously been bitten so itchy skin had already started from being bitten.i stormed down to reception told em.an made 2 staff members checked,I'd already took 3 video,s. 0w0e got moved 2 another room but being bitten all over .stratchin couldn't sleep,the breakfast was awful dry coffee discusting.id sent 7 emails to head office from August to December it was wen I'd sed I was puttin out my videos they decided to refund my money.so b4 getting into bed strip the bed?

I stayed here for two nights. When I woke up on the second morning I was covered in insect type bites. I then went down to breakfast to discover there was no chef. I have reported the bed bug issue and Premier Inn are currently investigating. Based on my experience it is difficult to recommend this place - I could also mention the lack of parking and room temperature too hot and could not be adjusted

Right having paid £200 for 1 nite this premier inn, clacton on sea,sea front hears my proof off bedbugs.plus breakfast was pretty dry n not nice,I've sent emails of complaints and had not 1 single reply I want my money back?horrible hotel no go
