Reservé este lugar en el último minuto. Normalmente esa fórmula es un desastre. Gracias a Dios, llegamos y fueron saludados por una señora muy agradable, su nombre es Smita. Durante mi trabajo estuve trabajando con las piernas, Smita nos esperaba con un sonrisa. Ella era nuestra primera experiencia aquí. Me quedaría de nuevo si me prometiera que nos inspeccionaría. La vez que tuve que llamar para cambiar una cuenta, estaba en la pelota. Eso dijo ... Este es un hotel más antiguo, pero es obvio que los propietarios están asegurándose de que es tan agradable como puede ser. La habitación era limpia, la cama era grande. La a/c funciona tranquilamente. Mi última razón para decir cosas grandes sobre este lugar? Mi esposa estaba claramente feliz con él también. Planeo hacer esto nuestro lugar cuando estamos en la zona Waco. Normalmente los comentarios dicen ”tenemos lo que paga”. No aquí. Tenemos lo que esperamos por tu dinero.

To explain, We had booked a reservation At the extended stay in Waco for February, 2022 for one night for a 2 bed, single room, for 4 adults, which we booked through groupon a week prior. We had confirmed the room with the hotel and upon getting there, the front desk receptionist hands us our key (His name is Walter) . When we get to our room, we see that it is a single bed room, so we immediately go back to the front desk and talk to the same man ( Walter) who check us in. After telling him that we have the wrong room, he begins to look on his computer and he says sorry, we’re fully booked and I asked “ do you have any bedrooms available?” And he says back to me “Do you want to look?!” And I said “I’m just asking”. The front desk man begins to make up a policy saying “if you’re not checked in after 6PM, its first-come-first-serve” and he said its in the fine print. We then looked at the fine print and it was no where in the document we signed that stated that nor on Groupon’s listing. He said they had 13 no shows that day and we’re still full booked. We then asked “what are we paying for a room for if we’re not even guaranteed a room and we’re just throwing our name in a hat and hope we get a room” he then said to us, YELLING “ I don’t care if y’all get a room, I don’t care if you sleep in the hallway, I don’t know you from Adam and Eve” and I respond, “you should care! This is terrible customer service” and then this man literally leaves the building and doesn’t come back. His co-worker came in and tried to assist us and said “sorry there’s nothing we can do, we can process a refund once Groupon contacts us” and said we’d have to call other hotels and did NOT HELP at all. While we’re calling other hotels, a group of girls come down on the elevator very angry and said “the room you just gave us has another man in it”. The female receptionist now helping us and them says to them “Oh, he was suppose to check out today but I guess he didn’t”. She begins to tell them that they gave their room away because of their “give-away policy after 6pm” and that they have zero rooms available. So she calls her manager (Val) and apparently another room opens up! these girls go to this room, they eventually come back and say “There’s another man in THAT room too”. There was also 2 other people people inline that I’m sure didn’t get rooms and 2 homeless people at the end of there first floor hallway sleeping with all their stuff and they were clearly on drugs tweaking, scratching, etc. We eventually left and had to book another hotel at 1 AM out of our own pocket. We have NEVER been treated with so much disrespect, incivility, contempt and carelessness. There was ZERO security and people staying in rooms they’re not suppose to and people walking In on other people. so many people were screwed that night and not in a good way. We still haven’t received any refund and credit.

Tenía que quedarse aquí por la noche para trabajar. Nunca estuve en Waco. El hotel era un agradable hotel para una estancia de una noche. Habitaciones limpias, desayuno buen. Pero lo que realmente me disfruté fue Maria en la mesa delantera. Ella era muy dulce y me dio recomendaciones para cenar y me aseguró de que yo sabía cómo llegar allí y me comprobó para ver cómo era. Ella me hizo bromas y me hizo reír. Sólo era una persona muy feliz en general y así fueron los otros que conocí. I go to a lot of places for work and they all bleed together but this place stood out because of Maria and team.

Great location for someone who does not like to venture much from their stay. Very welcoming & friendly staff. The rooms were clean, the sitting area was comfortable. The queen double beds were comfortable and had extra pillows in the closet for a just in case. Luckily my room was away from the elevators but close to the stairs. I didn't know if I was too tired from the trip to the other guests until the morning when I saw that it was overrun by band students from east Texas that were in Waco for competition. Which says a lot about the staff who were able to handle the full lobby of band students, the instruments and chaperones. The staff was able to maintain the breakfast bar in order so that other guests were able to partake. I was happy to see that they had oatmeal & all the fixings. Along with a variety of cereal, milk, coffee, tea. Aside from the dining area being overrun by band students I was able to find a seat to enjoy the breakfast.

Had an overnight stay here for business, loved the location! All staff members I encountered were very friendly and helpful;they even got me checked in early on Sunday afternoon. I really like this location because there are some pretty good dining options within a quick walk, like Chuy’s, Fish City Grill, Lounge 93, and Saltgrass Steakhouse. There are some retail and other dining options on the other side of the highway, too. The breakfast buffet was especially yummy on the Monday morning I was there, thanks to Sarah the head cook! She had some wonderful items out for the oatmeal, including crushed graham crackers, and the mini omelettes were especially amazing.

I never leave poor reviews but I felt I needed to this time. Our family stays in Holiday Inn’s all the time and all over the country. It is because this one was so below standard and our experience was so poor that I needed to let others know so they can made an informed decision on whether to stay at this hotel. When I booked our two rooms for multiple days I specifically asked if they had a pool. The representative making the reservation said yes there is a nice pool at this hotel. When we arrived there was a sign on the counter stating the pool was closed due to remodels. The clerk did say that we could use the pool at the hotel next door but it was an outdoor pool and it was February (45 degrees outside). We get to our rooms and in one room the tv did not work. They did finally move us but we wanted adjoining rooms because we were there as a family. After a long day of driving we all wanted a hot shower but the hotel has turned down the hot water in the bathtub and the water was barely warm. After my wife and daughter got out of the shower they made me turn up the heater because the shower made them so cold. BTW the sink had hot water. Lastly, see other review on the breakfast. The first morning we ate there but subsequent days we went out and paid for breakfast. The hotel looks nice and clean but has significant issues, especially at $130 a night.
