OK why am I giving 3 and not a 5 star rate, for a couple of key points, but let's start with a positive points. Great location, and beautiful property, nice pool (although at the time we visited the pool was green it didn't bother us but it might bother you) and facilities. Nice breakfast, good happy hour. Nice rooms with great balconies. Now into the details that I didn't like. - The room wasn't well clean, since day 1, even when we checked in we didn't have towels and had to wait couple of hours to get towels and after requesting several times. We also noticed that all floors had different cleaning staff, maybe we weren't lucky, we were on the room 233. - Poor and old amenities in the room. We had a super old shower cap in the room with hairs, really unacceptable for a 4 star hotel, and that was it for amenities, and the tray their were supposed to be displayed was dirty with hairs and dust. - somehow the room was missing something, maybe the cleaning part, because it missed the wow factor that it could have. - the hotel promotes tours with elephant riding which in my opinion is BIG NO and unacceptable. - the egg station in the breakfast was working in a strange way, if you wanted a fired egg they had already several done and in a super odd shape, not natural. I don't understand why to have egg station if you don't preper them fresh. - the staff in the reception was not costumer service mind or service minded, maybe they need a workshop for all staff members in this hotel, maybe it's a management problem or still covid recovery problem. I don't know this hotel has such a great potential maybe it's the best hotel in the island and some details are missing. Another annoying point, but this is not the hotels fault is just a warning, so much people taking Instagram pictures everywhere, to the point that it's annoying. People are not experiencing the place instead they are taking pictures to post online, and it kills the vibe. I hope someone reads it and it creates an impact in how this hotel is managed, spec3the cleaning and attention to detail. Would I return yes, again I believe that this is one of the best hotels in the island. This is not a complain althout it might sound, it's more notes for improvement. Hope next time I can give a 5 star rating.

We had actually made reservations at a different hotel and were scrambling to find something for the night. We thought we would try the mecure, but it was all booked up- understandable as it was close to Songkran. We thought we’d stop in to see if they had anything available. We were welcomed with such grace, but we’re warned that the beach was rocky and it might not be what we were looking for. Honestly we were looking for two clean, comfortable rooms that had air conditioning and wifi. They were able to accommodate us. They only had junior suites left- at the back of the property. We were grateful to find anything decent at last notice! We had our first supper that night at the hotel, we were tired from traveling and finding our first reservation was sadly just not up to our standards. I had the shrimp pad Thai. The shrimp was not fresh, but it was still delicious. My Thai brother in law was very happy about the breakfast buffet- unlimit! Not too much options for foreign palates- eggs, fruit, toast. That was fine, I’ve been used to having rice among other things for breakfast while being here. I had toast with pineapple jam and fruit for breakfast. The pineapple jam is amazing! It tastes fresh like it was homemade! The best I’ve had had during my three weeks, and this is our second visit to Thailand. Housekeeping cleaned our room while at breakfast and surprised us because they were so quick and thorough. I didn’t have a chance to leave a tip! There were signs you could leave on your door to request housekeeping and we didn’t put one on. It was a nice surprise. I usually like to tidy up before asking for housekeeping. They did such a wonderful job. In the daylight, I could see that the beach was rocky and not safe for swimming so we went to explore other beaches on the island. You can rent a motorbike which was a nice option, but the roads are quite unlike anything we’ve encountered. I’m glad that I had my Thai brother in law who was a professional driver helping us out! We used the outside showers at the pool after our adventures on the beach. And relaxed in the pool before supper. It was warm! Not a bad thing, just surprising. Beautiful backdrop with mountains behind. We had a meal out in white sands our second night, but third night we ate at the restaurant again. So good! I had shrimp fried rice. The portion wasn’t small, but wasn’t as big as I was used to after being here three weeks. That’s ok I just ordered something else to fill me up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. My only regret is that it wasn’t our first choice and maybe we could have a bungalow overlooking the water. Regardless, being at the back of the property introduced us to wildlife we haven’t seen anywhere else since our stay - carpenter bees. Google them. They are amazing!

Personalmente, estoy en Koh Chang. Pero nunca sabíamos que habría un hotel con una vista tan hermosa durante 27/10/2021 fuimos a una cita con mi novio y mi novia sorprendió pedirnos que nos casasen aquí, así que nos encantamos y nos recuerdamos el lugar aquí como una buena felicidad y memorias. El hotel también tiene una hermosa vista, un buen servicio, un delicioso hotel, un delicioso alimento.

Loved the vibe of the place, it is off the grid kind of a place, to stay alone and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Disfruté mucho de mi estadía aquí. Todo el personal fue muy amable y siempre tenía una sonrisa cálida que era muy contagiosa. Habitación en el segundo piso, en el camino principal,en el centro entre la recepchen y la piscina.El hotel es viejo y sin duda necesita reparaciones,pero se cuida tanto como sea posible.La zona es muy verde, muchos colores.El limpieza es muy bueno,sin vacío, Vi la habitación preparada - todo el día de luz la puerta y el balcón están abiertos, las piernas y el tobillo están en el balcón en el sol. Fábulas casas de estilo tailandés, puertas de vidrio en el balcón en el piso en todo el muro-al menos desde la habitación + el olor de franchipani, pájaros cantan! La habitación tiene una ventana con una red de mosquito y una ventana en el baño también con una red, es decir, sin humedad y eclipse, 24-hour aire fresco. Estaba en el primer piso, no es crudo, no huele nada. 2 toallas +1 para las piernas- cambiar todos los días y la cama también. Hay un pequeño refrigerador, 2 botellas de agua al día, no hay jaula de té. TV y aire acondicionado son viejos, pero funciona normal. El duche es caliente, la presión es buena. jabón líquido, champú, sombrero, cuchillos de vati. En el balcón 2 sillas.​ Excelente piscina(hay un área infantil) con vistas a la selva, suficiente posición, una serie de duchas (requiere reparación), hay toallas de playa. ​ Los hombres que les gustan los desayunos densos serán pequeños. No hay límites en las 8 posiciones de elección+para todas las pequeñas placas de frutas (4 piezas de arbusto y 4 pinea para dos) y el zumo, café/tea/leche/agua/agua/azúcar-. ​ Existe una bicicleta para alquilar 200 baht, masaje 350 baht, personal amigable. El hotel está situado en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los restaurantes más cercanos, y se encuentran en una carretera que es peligrosa, especialmente en la noche sin iluminación o paseos laterales. La playa no está a pie, mi madre no está especialmente encantada de usar motos, ya que habíamos estado en una situación de calle cercana en la isla unos días antes. La publicidad para la habitación no sólo nos pareció engañosa, sino decepcionante (por ejemplo: las habitaciones listas TVs de pantalla plana satélite- no había TV en la habitación, un espacio de oficina que no existía, etc). El dueño Steve nos ha repetido varias veces que debemos evitar el restaurante más cercano, un lugar orgánico bonito con papaya fresca de sus cuevas.

Booked a two night stay here with friends, but ended up extending our stay and I would have stayed forever if it was possible! We started off in the standard double rooms, which were perfectly nice, well equipped and great value. I then moved in to one of the bungalows, which was another level! Sooooo lovely, traditional Thai, very pretty and massive king bed. They also have a tree house, which looked pretty cool! There is a small pool, which is perfect for cooling off and a pretty bar area. The owner, Marcel and his wife (sorry, didn’t catch her name) were great hosts, very helpful and friendly. We all got our laundry done here and we hired bikes from them at a reasonable price. In walking distance there are a few bars and eateries, as well as a supermarket, but you are only five minutes on the bike from the much busier White Sands resort. Thank you for a great stay, I will definitely be back, hopefully in the not too distant future 😊

I had a great time in the Lonely Beach off-season thanks to Thomas, Nils, and their people at the Lonely Beach Resort. It’s located on the main road and they have standard bar food like 🍔 & 🍕. AMAZING!!!! But Tom’s hospitality and spirit as a genuine bar man comes across very authentically. Feel blessed to have met these guys.
