Tu alojamiento en Porches

Nos ha encantado la ubicación. Más o menos en la mitad de la zona de Algarve con lo que visitar la zona en coche, no se hace nada pesado. La zona muy tranquila, sin bullicio donde además tienes dos playas preciosas a 5 minutos caminando (Praia de nossa Senhora de rocha y Praia Nova) y a unos 10 minutos de una tercera que se llama Praia da cova redonda. El hotel es genial. Las casas súper equipadas y muy espaciosas. Decoradas con muy buen gusto. El personal de 10. Y que decir del Algarve ……. Nos ha encantado . Muy recomendable.

We were very pleased with our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with full kitchen, lounge/diner, balcony and roof terrace. What's not to like? We also had a beautiful bougainvillea outside. A change of sheets would have been nice, but not really a problem for just a week. The pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds and shade under the trees, but no parasols, and the pool is cold. This did not stop my friend doing her daily exercise, but too chilly for me. Unfortunately the back gate to the pool area was locked, so we had to take the longer route and down a steep flight of steps to access the pool. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The negatives of the property are the location (a big problem), and lack of Wifi (an inconvenience) anywhere other than by the pool. The property is advertised as in Armacao de Pera, but is in fact in Alporchinos. The mini market on site was not open, but there is a large supermarket 5 or so minutes up the road and about 7/8 restaurants a bit further on (3 of which are Indian!). The beaches are a good 15/20/25 minutes walk - downhill on the way and therefore uphill on the way back. The main beach at A de P is long, sandy and very busy, but accessible. Of the other 2 coves - Redonda is virtually inaccessible to anyone with walking difficulties and Senhora da Rocha is busy, because boat trips go from there and there is also a restaurant. It is also not very big. We had a boat trip in a traditional Portuguese fishing boat, which was good apart from the dozens of kyakers and a constant stream of small boats also visiting the caves and bays. Apart from these boat trips there doesn't seem much else to do unless you want to hike along the cliffs.

El hotel está situado en un acantilado precioso, las vistas son impresionantes desde los jardines del hotel, que están muy bien cuidados. El desayuno es variado y de calidad. Las habitaciones están bien y la atención del personal es muy buena. El acceso a spa es gratuito. La parte negativa: he leído ya varias opiniones al respecto y veo que no ponen solución a las quejas repetidas sobre el spa. Estuvimos cuatro días y hubo demasiados momentos en el que el jacuzzi estaba lleno de niños muy pequeños (alrededor de 4-5 años) a pesar de que en las instrucciones se indica claramente que los niños de menos de 16 años no pueden utilizarlo (ni solos ni acompañados), pero las familias no hacen caso de estas instrucciones e impiden que los adultos podamos disfrutar del jacuzzi. Además, observamos cómo había personas que entraban a la zona de spa con zapatillas de calle en lugar de con chanclas, con el grave problema higiénico que ello supone. Todo esto sería solucionable de forma muy sencilla: bastaría con que alguien del personal del hotel revisara el uso de las instalaciones cada media hora aproximadamente e indicara a los huéspedes que están haciendo mal uso que dejaran de hacerlo, yo no tengo por qué preocuparme de decirle a nadie que no puede estar con 5 ó 6 niños en el jacuzzi. A pesar de este punto negativo, mi comentario tiene una nota positiva para el hotel, pero espero sinceramente que solucionen el problema del spa cuanto antes porque es muy desagradable.

Hotel absolutamente incrível! Desde o check-in até ao último minuto! Foi pena alguns restaurantes estarem encerrados devido a estarem a sofrer algumas remodelações. No entanto, experimentámos o restaurante Giardino e a cave de vinhos. Estava tudo absolutamente espectacular. Serviço e comida irrepreensíveis. Um agradecimento especial ao chef de sala, Rúben, pelo acompanhamento durante toda a refeição e ao sommelier Marco Teixeira!! Parabéns!

Hotel situado en un zona muy tranquila del Algarve con alguna de las atracciones turísticas bastante cerca en coche. Tienen servicio de transporte gratuito hasta Carvoeiro (previa reserva). En nuestro caso no lo usamos ya que viajábamos con nuestro vehículo. La habitación amplia y limpia. Con aire acondicionado y balcón. La cama era super grande y cómoda . El hotel dispone de un parquing exterior gratuito. La zona de piscina no es muy grande, suerte que no estaba muy concurrida y tenías hamacas a pie de piscina. Desayuno buffet correcto. Buffet cena muy mejorable. Tienes que ir en la franja horaria reservada en recepción. Muy poca variedad en la comida y con muy pocas opciones para escoger. Algunos días tardaban mucho en reponer la comida que se había acabado. Faltan más animación/espectáculos nocturnos.

The golf course itself was good with some interesting holes and thanks to the recent rain it was in good condition. We didn’t stay but came for the day twice to play first O’ Connor and then Faldo which was the better of the two. Practice areas are terrible and a disgrace both in size and condition for a course charging E160O or so. Starting at 111.30 one had hoped that the food buggy might come round but it didn’t as it was the operators day off and one man did both courses and finally reached us at the 16th by which time he had run out of sandwiches. Apparently it was the day off of the other operator which means that for two days a week it is going to be unsatisfactory. Why not put one of the many people doing little business in the shop on a buggy to help out We arrived to witness one of the staff charging around in a buggy( our buggy was strictly regulated to go slow in certain areas. He had a head on crash with one of the guests and cut himself on the head. Not impressive Same people used to run Palmares which has benefitted hugely from new management. Someone needs to wave a magic and over this place and it could be great but not at the meoment

My husband and I are staying here for the last part of a two week vacation in Portugal. We had looked at reviews and pictures of this resort prior to arriving and were excited to stay here. Upon arrival we could see that the views were beautiful but the resort fell short in every other way. When we checked in our room was not yet ready so we stopped at the restaurant for lunch. While at lunch we had to track down staff to give us a seat, get any drinks, and then to order our lunch. Finally our food came and for a 5 star resort the food was less than subpar. We ordered 2 sodas, a personal pizza, and a cheeseburger and the bill was over $60 usd. The restrooms that were available to use for guests had toilet paper holders that were falling off the walls, soap dispensers that were rusted, and bathroom doors that did not lock. Finally once it was time to check into our room I was at first impressed with how the room looked but that quickly changed. Once in the room we found ants crawling around the bathroom and within 5 minutes we had killed over 10 ants alone. At this point we were frustrated and contacted our travel agent to help resolve this issue. Soon after my travel agent contacted the hotel the hotel then called me personally to say that they were made aware I was “complaining.” During that phone call they never offered anything to make our stay better. We decided to walk around the resort to get out of our room and walked down to the spa only to find all the lights off and the “hot tub” cold. After a long day of travel and frustration we decided we would give the restaurant another try. Unfortunately our experience was not any better with dinner. We both ordered risottos one mushroom and one scallop and prawn risotto. The mushroom risotto was almost all mushrooms that tasted like they were from a can and the scallop and prawn risotto had only two scallops and two prawns. We contacted our travel agent again to have them help with our problems with the resort and then decided to get some rest. The next day we spent the day by the pool where not once did any staff ask if we wanted a drink or to order lunch. When we found a staff member to order lunch they gave us a menu but never came back to take our order. Finally we got our food and after we finished it they never came to pick up the plate so after over an hour we took the plate to them. Since check in we have been working with our travel agent to get a refund for our stay and our travel agent has been met with nothing but pushback. Considering all of the issues we are having a refund is the least this resort could do. This resort has the potential to be a great place because of the scenery but they have a lot to improve on for it to be considered a 5 star resort.

Booked a 3-night twin room to attend a friend's lecture in Lagoa. The hotel, or better, motel is excellent for those on wheels, not for those on foot. If you have disabilities find another town in the Algarve. Some sets of stairs do not have rails, you have to go round the entrance to physically 'get in'. The reception has only 1 staff member when off-season, be prepared and do it all online. Forget questions about taxis, transportation, and restaurant advice is really subjective. The room was very comfortable, the second door to a set of stairs (curled) with direct access to the car park/entry of the hotel area was not. Cold and humidity pass through the doors (front door leading to corridor inside as well), as doors need maintenance. Breakfast is good and varied, for all tastes, except gluten-free options. Internet signal very weak, had to use phone data package. Check-in is only at 4pm. Pro's. besides what I already mentioned: bus terminal 5 min walk, good restaurants each way 5 min walk (one is just next door), supermarket passing the roundabout, beds very comfortable. You can walk to the centre (10 min walk) but the town is without interest, unless you are there for an event, for those on foot, you can stay here and get to know other nearby cities in the Algarve by bus, as the terminal is so close, and it is not expensive to go around by bus.

Amazing place, 2 big bedrooms we booked and they were huge. Clean in general. Had all kitchen and catering amenities. Staff was kind. For the price it was a steal. Highly recommend this place. It’s about 12 min drive to albufeira center. There’s a Aldi in 5 min drive very handy. The place has a common swimming pool we did not use it as it was still a bit chilly and we were tired too. Lot of parking around inside the villa. The only downsides I can say and they are minor the shower could be slightly better spray that’s it. 5/5 for me.
