This hotel is a little outdated and urgently needs some renovations. Despite this the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. When we arrived we followed the signs to the garage P5 because signs said that this was the garage for the hotel. This was true but the hotel also offered a free garage. So after checking in we had to change the garage and pay a fee of 50 Cents for 10 Minutes. Then we entered the other garage which was very narrow and realized that there was no elevator. So we had to carry the luggage upstairs over this very tiny stairway. I had better value for less money. But the breakfast is good. You need to try the omlette.

A catalogue of inhospitability, avarice, rudeness and ineptitude or lack of proper training summarises this horrible hotel. Arriving after ten o’clock in the evening, I found the door of the hotel closed and rang the front doorbell several times to no effect. Only after walking through the freezing rain to the back of the hotel and knocking on the windows, did I manage to raise somebody’s attention to let me in. The staff explained to me that they had shut down the front door bell, but yes, they were expecting me(?!). However, arriving “so late”, I was required to pay 50 euros to the night porter, which I flatly refused to do. I paid for my room and breakfast and climbed the stairs to the fourth floor. My room was tiny and stone cold: all three windows were wide open at 3 degrees Celsius, the heating off. No luggage rack, not even a hook in the wall for my dripping coat and umbrella, no desk, no toiletries, no light in the pitiful shower. No amenities whatsoever but for a tiny hairdryer and a tiny clothes cupboard that couldn’t fit a long coat. The windows were too high to afford the least view. The next morning, being the only person in the breakfast room, I had to go through several plates, glasses and cutlery to find myself clean ones without grease or melted cheese clinging to them. A staff member eventually approached me and demanded to know what my room number was, she couldn’t even be bothered to say good morning! While checking out, I complained about the above and the same staff member offered to pay me a refund of an unspecified amount. I thought in fairness to wait with writing my review until after this was paid, this offer being the only positive experience worth mentioning; but after four days I haven’t received a penny yet even though we have the same bank and payments go through almost instantaneously. To conclude: a horrible hotel with zero stars. I was informed by the staff that the proprietor doesn’t want to pay for the star system - I wonder why?

Het hotel is geen gran luxe maar wel oke. Voor zo weinig geld kan je ook geen super luxe verwachten. Alles was schoon en de douche in de badkamer werkte goed. Ontbijt was heel uitgebreid voor weinig geld. Vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel is kindvriendelijk.

Dat gebeurt mij niet zo vaak! Als traktatie, o.a. voor het oppassen van mijn lieve kleinkinderen, hadden wij een cadeaubon gekregen. De organisatie die deze bonnen uitgeeft was echter failliet gegaan waardoor wij deze bon niet meer konden inwisselen. Wij, mijn kinderen en de desbetreffende hotels hadden dus een strop. Verrast waren wij dus, dat wij via artikelen, o.a. het programma ”Kassa”, informatie op internet vonden over het alsnog kunnen inwisselen (onder bepaalde voorwaarden)van de cadeaubon bij Hotel Wildthout te Ommen. We hebben een ontzettend gaaf weekend gehad. Ontspannen, gastvrij zijn we onthaald. De entourage van het hotel was geheel op ons lijf geschreven, sfeervol, netjes, niet hoogdravend. We kregen een verrassingsdiner voorgeschoteld , waar we onze vingers bij aflikten. Mooi geserveerd, met precisie klaargemaakt en met een juist glas wijn ondersteund. De avond was zwoel, het gezelschap aangenaam en de bediening vriendschappelijk. Het ontbijt de volgende dag was prima divers. Bedankt Nienke, Grethe, kok. We komen zeker weer en raden deze locatie bij vrienden en kennissen aan.

No me gustaría recomendar este hotel a nadie. Al llegar, el cheque en la mujer no sabía si la habitación ya estaba limpia ( llegamos a las 16:00, el cheque en el hotel es de 15:00...). La cama estaba hecha, pero había volantes en la habitación, mosquitos muertos en las paredes, el baño estaba sucio, había pinturas en el piso, etc... nuestro balcón estaba al lado del tren pasando, así que eso es. La habitación está muy bien, pero no es muy agradable. La habitación de vapor se rompe, tienes que dejar el tubo caliente cada 5 minutos para empujar un botón a la vuelta, había molde, la piscina huele como agua vieja y era sucia en todas partes. El hotel no le explica nada, así que sólo tienes que averiguar que necesitas una tarjeta separada para acceder al spa, no sólo a tu tarjeta de llave. El restaurante es caro y se olvidaron de nuestra reserva. Esto nunca me ha sucedido en ningún restaurante. Hemos pagado por la cena con la reserva, por lo que sólo tuvimos que pagar por nuestras bebidas. El precio era 84 EUROS. Dos tés, un poco de agua, y una botella de vino. Qué diablos ....
