Chalet agradable en un entorno hermoso. Cerca del centro. Disfrute del agua. Bella zona para bicicleta o navegar. El tiempo hace todo. Para los discapacitados Giethorn es muy difícil con los muchos puentes y caballos estrechos

Me gusta mucho este apartamento, un gran cuarto, una super-completa cocina. Hay muchos pequeños zapatos que van por la puerta. Pero el único punto débil es que las ventanas de la puerta y la cocina son transparentes y no se siente oculta durante la noche.

Na een fietstocht van Lelystad naar Steenwijk had ik een kamer in dit hotel. Prachtige kamer heel goed bed, mooi sanitair en een ruim voldoende ontbijt. De volgende dag kon ik na nog een fietstocht in de omgeving, me nog verkleden in dit hotel. Goed en aardig personeel.

This hotel was a huge let down, its old and its not looked after for years (thats how it feels). We were going to celebrate our anniversery and thought it looked great on the pictures and 4 stars is always 4 stars. Our first room had a carpet full of stains, big stains and they looked old. Bathrum looked fairly renovated, but there was a smell of sewer in there. The wallpaper was lose on several places and it looked like it was damaged by water. Our second room had similar issues, hard floor so no stains but sewer smell in the bathroom, walls dirty, a big hole was repaired with filler but not painted, a big wooden board covering one of the doors to balcony, it looked like a temporary and crappy fix. It seem to us that the maintainance left a few years ago, or they have a shoe string budget, or they are not allowed to fix things. When reception, with not a second of doubt hands us a towel to cover the shower drains and a bottle of perfume then you know this is something they do all the time. INstead of fixing the issue, give the customers perfume! It can be seen everywhere, the tennis cours was overgrown, the lift made sounds and doors squeeked, the hallways looked old and dirty and there was a general feel of neglect. Service was nice, and breakfast was good, but the rest, dont go there..

Personal maravillosamente acogedor. Ambiente relajado en toda la propiedad. Comedores elegantes. Dormitorio grande y confortable con buenas comodidades en la habitación. Cena muy agradable (por un precio aparte) y un desayuno agradable (incluido en el precio). Excelente relación calidad-precio (en la semana). Sin embargo, no hay ascensores, así que si tienes maletas grandes, esto podría ser un problema (dicho esto, el personal nos ayudó con nuestras maletas livianas). La habitación que teníamos tenía escalones que bajaban hacia la habitación, lo que hacía difícil salir, ya que había que bajar para abrir la puerta hacia adentro. Definitivamente me gustaría volver a hospedarme en esta propiedad.

The owner, Sander, is extremely typical in being tight and inconsiderate of customers who are not satisfied. We had a flood in our bathroom due to the walk in shower, and even though he tried to fix it, it still flooded afterwards. Nothing was done about keeping us happy or compensating for this terrible experience. Showers were limited for us, they were cut short and caused inconvenience with us left with shampoo in our hair! No complimentary drink to say sorry, in fact no-one even apologised for any of the unfortunate events that occurred with the shower! So shocking and completely unprofessional. When I then look at their target audience, I realise the majority of the customers are over the age of 60, so they probably are oblivious to all the problems. Very defensive staff, especially on check out who just looked as pathetic as a teenager being told off. She obviously had been warned by Sander and went straight into defence mode. Again, very amateur and unprofessional. Also, the soap and shampoo facilities for a so-called four star hotel was a joke. Locked in tubes and half empty on the day of arrival. Four or five star hotels usually utilise miniature toiletries. I have travelled a lot and know that this method is typical of 2/3 star hotels or motels, which I tend to avoid. Again a way of saving money and a short cut. Lame. Just lame. The buffet dinner was bland, tasteless and rather disgusting. It is not live cooking - it is a shambles; children fingering all the food with dirty hands, and then expecting us to eat it. No thanks. Waste of money and complete rip off room prices. Best of luck to this potential old people's home. If my grandparents were still alive, I would still not recommend the hotel to them. They would deserve better, as did we. Have the decency not to rate yourself on what is visible on the surface (the view/location etc) but actually on the ins and outs of staying there. It is terrible but the worst thing was the staff's attitude. I am so happy they do not treat customers like this in the UK. Shame on Sander and his appalling staff. Disgusting. Useless. Waste of space. Good luck.

When you approach through the forest and waterways this monster in a large pond intrigues. Located next to the old Waterloopkundig or hydrological research centre this building from the sixties with its concrete look, has been fully remodelled and modernized. Nice couches and surroundings created in the main entrance and the hallways. Plenty of parking space and possibility to stall your bikes and bicycles. One strange thing is that they demand immediate payment of the room (even when we had given a credit card guarantee) though you can charge bar and restaurant on the room. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the pond and they have a lot of space. They are modern and supplied with a safe and coffeemaker. Good beds and perfect shower. The lights for reading at the seats and for shaving at the wash basin are faint and don't really help. For the rest, no remarks to the rooms though the decoration on the walls is a little bit of everything. The restaurant offered a special asparagus menu due to the season. We assume they do more of these specialties. The normal dishes have a decent variety and there is the possibility of the chef's choice in meat, fish or vegetarian (recommendable). With the option of strolling alongside the old research objects in the moors and woodlands and the good cycling options, this new (opened at 31 March 2023) hotel is an excellent extra for the Fletcher brand.

Fantastische culinaire ervaring in prachtig gelegen gebouw en domein, top zesgangenmenu zeer verfijnd, ook zeer degelijke aangepaste wijnen zoals witte Italiaanse Langhe Massolino, excellente Rias Baixas Albarino Granbazan, stevige Zuidafrikaanse Stellenbosch Strydom. Uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel die alles naar wens maakt, mijn vrouw kon bijvoorbeeld zonder problemen een aangepaste lichte versie van het gastronomisch menu kiezen. Heerlijke, uiterst ruime en luxueze ingerichte kamers om het geheel af te ronden. Een werkelijk topadres, en dit alles voor correcte prijzen voor dit 5-sterrenniveau (200 € voor kamer inc ontbijt, 96 € /6 gangenmenu, met wijnarrangement +50 €/6 glazen).Heerlijk en zeer verfijnd ontbijt.
