Para ir a la montaña de pasteles, tuve que ir abajo. El hotel es nuevo, no hay habitaciones grandes y el baño es más pequeño. Hay varios grandes clientes en el patio, que pueden ser calientes. No hay comida en el hotel, no se sabe el precio.

Hotel muy agradable , habitaciones aceptables de tamaño . Todo muy nuevo y cuidado. En el mismo hotel cenamos. Algo caro pero rico : pescado Ártico muy fresco y la sopa de marisco buenísima . Tampoco hay muchos sitios cerca donde cenar. Desayuno variado

Nous avons fait le Check-in en autonome, car nous n’avons vu personne à notre arrivée, mais notre clé nous attendait. L’environnement du guesthouse est très calme. Nous avions une chambre spacieuse au 1er étage avec une très bonne literie et une belle vue sur la vallée. Notre salle de bain commune était très propre, comme l’ensemble du gîte. À noter que nous avions également un petit lavabo dans notre chambre. Le petit-déjeuner était vraiment quelconque en produits proposés et la personne qui s’occupait du service manquait de chaleur dans son accueil et avait perdu son sourire…peut-être un mauvais jour pour elle…dommage. De plus, nous manquions vraiment de place pour circuler autour des tables. C’est pour cette raison que je me suis limité à 4 étoiles dans mon jugement

The Hotel and the room was very nice. We arrived on Friday, after driving straight from work, to the Hotel at quarter to 6 pm. In our reservation we had a gift certificate for a 3 course meal. The reception said we had to hurry because dinner should start at 6pm. We asked if we could come a little later or maybe between 6.30 or 7 but the receptionist said NO, because then we would get our meal much later. We hurried up to our room and got dressed and went down to the restaurant. The restaurant was empty, we were the only ones there. We sat down and our starter came out within two minutes. When we hadn´t finished the waiter asked if we were done and we said wait a minute and tried to finish as quick as possible. When the waiter saw we had finished the starter she came and took our dishes and handed out the main course(straight away). It felt like they were trying to get o-us out of there as soon as possible. We took our time with the main course, it was obvious that our dinner had been made somewhere else or just earlier that day because it was just heated up for us and not cooked when ordered. When we got our dessert, at about 6:40, other hotel guests started arriving. Then we saw that they also had the same gift certificate and exactly the same meals. We found it strange why we had to hurry up to come down at 6pm and not everybody else. Sorry this service was not a good experience and the dinner just flat. This could have easily been a great experience if the service had been up to par with the room and look of the Hotel itself.

My family had a great stay at Hotel Husafell at the end of September, and I really want to shout some big kudos to the staff for making our stay wonderful. I wanted to spend a couple of days in Western Iceland to enjoy the terrain and landscape there, and upon our very early arrival, the staff did a wonderful job getting settled and over our jet lag. Service and hospitality is *huge* strength of theirs. They were so kind and kept their breakfast/brunch service open a little longer for us, which was so nice b/c there wasn't a lot of shops or restaurants around. They were also so great in helping us with our tours to the nearby Lava Caves, geothermal pools, and glaciers. They even helped my 83 year old mother in law make ticket reservations for a concert in Reykjavik (we were traveling there later)! **Big shoutout to Renata** who was the front desk clerk who really made everyone in our family feel welcome and cared for. The restaurant staff were also very warm and friendly when we ate there. The hotel itself is also very modern, clean, comfortable with a Nordic aesthetic that I personally really like! (I'm not sure why some other reviews were complaining about that). I thought the food at breakfast and dinner was also very good, but I also get that it's expensive. However, costs in all of Iceland is expensive. The breakfast is included in the cost. Our family stayed in a suite and a standard room, and I appreciate that we got to stay next to each other, and the hotel had lots of skylights that brought in a lot of natural light despite the rain and clouds during our trip. I love that we had blackout curtains, and I found the beds and pillows very comfy. I also really enjoyed the heated floors in the bathroom and living room - I wish the US would do this more. All in all, we had a great stay!
