Having stayed at the Midland over a dozen times, we were disappointed at the way the new owners have changed things for the worse. When you enter the hotel the reception is no longer obvious as it's been added to the end of the bar. The receptionist was sat down so she wasn't visible and there was no signage telling you it was the reception. After checking in we had some lunch, which again wasn't as good as we have had on previous stays. The chips arrived with the sandwiches and had to be sent back as they were neither chunky or indeed edible. They were replaced by chips that were only slightly better. The bedroom was clean and up to the usual standard, although in need of a bit of an upgrade. At breakfast, once again it wasn't obvious what we had to do. Normally you are greeted and shown to a table and asked if you would like a drink. So we went to the receptionist and she checked us off and told us to sit wherever we wanted. She pointed to a room with a door open at the end of the bar and told us that tea and coffee and cerials were in there and to help ourselves. The room was simply not what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. It was impersonal and looked more like an unused store room than a buffet breakfast area. After sitting at the table for 10 minutes and being ignored by busy staff we managed to flag a member of staff down and order our cooked breakfast, which was actually up to their old standards. The breakfast experience was always what set the Midland apart from the rest. Not anymore. Other points to note The carpets looks grubby and in need of a good clean or upgrade. The heritage / history cabinet in reception had been moved but was still on display with all the items inside scattered around inside. What the new management need to realise is that its the little things and extra service that makes the Midland a special place. If I'm honest the hotel doesn't look loved anymore.

Spent 4 nights in the hotel with a coach party from (Clowes coaches ) brilliant hotel lovely clean room , food was excellent couldn’t fault it . All the staff were very pleasant & helpful only down fall for me was the entertainment wasn’t very good . But I will certainly be returning.

Popped in for breakfast - best breakfast ever and the whole family loved it including the children - service was fast and polite and the atmosphere and surroundings were spotless and very comfortable. We felt like we mattered and the breakfast was all served at the same time, fresh and hot.

El hotel tiene un descuento del 5% si se reserva directamente y se encuentra muy bien al primer lugar. La cama es muy grande, limpia y cómoda, y la ducha y el baño también están sin lugar a duchas. La habitación está muy bien, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. Nos hemos quedado en cientos de hoteles y hoteles y en su clase, está allí con el mejor de ellos.

This hotel is one of Morecambe's little secrets. It’s not anything special, it’s just a great place to stay. Not fussy, but it’s clean comfortable and friendly. The views front the sea front rooms are fantastic. Imagine waking up to Morecambe Bay and a backdrop of the Lake District. On your doorstep is probably the best promenade in the Northwest. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order with a selection of cereals and toast. Okay its location in the West End of Morecambe is not perfect, but it’s only a short distance to cafes and restaurants, and the Eden Project will only be a ‘stones throw away’.

Hotel undergoing refurbishments but doesnt impact your stay, Lovely friendly staff, hotel room nice and clean, basic but everything you need, tea/coffee, towels, tv, plenty of sockets for charging devices, en suite toilet/shower. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and fresh toast/drinks, ‘chef’ asking everyone if there was anything else they wanted/needed, would definitely go back and stay again.
