UUsuario anónimoWe enjoyed our stay at this inn. The location is very peaceful and quiet, and the views from the restaurant area and rooms were fantastic. We didn't meet the host in person, but they were very prompt to our messages on WeChat and helped us communicate with the kitchen staff about our vegetarian requirements. The food was probably the best part of the stay, we really enjoyed eating a variety of vegtables and tofu cooked in classic Chinese cuisine style. The host also helped us after we were accidentally checked into the wrong room, despite it being after 11pm when we arrived, so we were very thankful for their assistance, though we never saw anyone behind the reception desk on site. It's a great choice for anyone looking to get away from a big city, we had a very peaceful and relaxing trip!

MMaarten WillemsVery friendly and super helpful host family. Delicious prepared meals at times when desired indoor or outdoor. Tips for the area. Comfortable, modern room with beautiful furniture, bathroom incl freestanding bathtub in the room and beamer screen. Modern spacious building with warm and cozy feeling. TV. Bicycle could be parked on the property, use of new fairly new kayak gear with supported boat by the host and their friendly dogs. And lighting fireworks was also offered (for free) At departure, a goody bag with homemade snacks and fruit was provided. It was chilly in the lobby and eating area. We had to wear jackets indoor. Total it was very pleasant and we can definitely recommend it. Pets and kids are welcome.

SSmall WandererA 5* hotel for Chinese customers, not international guests.
The hotel facilities are really nice with nice bedrooms and the park around the hotel is a real plus. They also propose a lot of activities. On that side, this is up to intercontinental standards or even above.
However, there were 3 points that were disappointing and for us are not up to standards for a 5 stars hotel:
- no English-speaking staff is not acceptable for an international brand. We could not communicate at the reception or restaurant.
- it is mentioned 4 restaurants are open on the website and in the public area (1 Japanese, 1 Chinese, 1 buffet and 1 international) while actually only 2 were opened : the Chinese and international one. The latter is not up to international standard: no dessert menu, drinks menu only available in Chinese and the quality was average at best.
- Service for food and drinks is generally speaking very slow (1h to get hamburger while being the only customer/ +30mn to get drinks at the bar) even though the staff is nice.

UUsuario anónimoI had a fantastic stay at Haiwaihai Hotel! The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options, including fresh fruits, pastries, and local dishes.
The hotel’s location is ideal, just a short distance from the stunning Qiandao Lake Scenic Area (Central Lake Area), where I enjoyed beautiful views and outdoor activities. Additionally, I was pleased to find several nearby restaurants offering halal food options, making it convenient for Muslim travelers.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always willing to help with any requests. I highly recommend Haiwaihai Hotel for anyone visiting the area!

PprithvirajJust decided to spend an extended weekend and booked a room with a balcony to enjoy the view of the vast lake. 1215 was a huge room with basic amenities and an attractive balcony overlooking the huge lake. The hotel is conveniently located next to the busy square and has all kinds of restaurants. The hotel staff provided an early checkin. Despite thier inability to speak English, they would go out of their way to help me. I want to specially mention Zheng who could speak English and was so helpful to help me order food and look for a spa. In fact she took the trouble of calling the spa and booking an appointment for me. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a weekend sojourn

AAnyaWe had such a wonderful time at Voco! The hotel is very clean and beautiful. The views of the lake are gorgeous- especially from the breakfast restaurant and the gym. You can watch the sun set right over the water. The hotel staff members were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and there are plenty of options. I do think the restaurant prices for lunch/dinner are a bit high, but the hotel is just a walk away from other restaurants. It’s located on Yangguang Road, right along a running/walking path next to the lake. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Qiandaohu!
