Had an excellent stay at the Commodore following a week in NZ...This is exactly the type of place where you want to stay after a vacation in NZ and before a long flight home. Owned by the same family for 50+ years, they have invested a lot, making this among the nicest airport hotels we have ever stated at... The rooms are freshly renovated with great decor and furnishings. Excellent shower (which is key on a long trip!) and the restaurant was exceptional. (At dinner I had very good house-made raviolis, and a great breakfast.). Big indoor pool and hot tub to relax in... And excellent service - very friendly and ready to serve. Free and easy airport shuttles (5 min to the terminal). I would value this hotel anywhere, but particularly appreciated at the airport after a long trip.

Has been greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival. The receptionist even showed our room till the doorstep. Also given some chocolates upon entering the room. Pros: A very big room, double glazed glass, the bathroom is even disabled friendly. An afequate continental breakfast is served to the room (in the evening). A nice clean small kitchen with a toaster, microwave, small fridge and a cooking stove (although we dont use them) is available. Room is clean, with a huge tv set. Sifa set, dinner table and working table. Restaurants are just round the corner. Really recommend this place.

Lovely managers and owners who couldn't do enough to help and responded promptly to every query. I drink plunge coffee and a coffee pot materialized complete with a bag of coffee to save me going out and purchasing. The rooms are spotless and roomy and there is even a cooking hob to prepare light meals. Loved being able to wash and dry without having to worry about coins. .. just added to account during checkout. The Manor house is fabulous as Karen kindly took me on a conducted tour and will certainly be an option next stay. A great central location within walking distance to Merivale Mall and the excellent deli at Fresh Choice. I enjoyed the warmth of the welcome and the personalized touches. Even fresh Daphne in a bud vase on the table! Thankyou so much for what could have been a very stressful time looking after my 90 year old mum. Merivale Manor was a sanctuary to return to at the end of very stressful days. Loved every minute.

Y limpio y cómodo. Antiguo hotel de coches. La zona de grandes instalaciones de hardware está completa. El diseño de decoración es muy cuidadoso. El diseño de una habitación y una habitación tiene habitaciones separadas, haha es un diseño de habitaciones muy interesante. Aunque el viejo es un baño, la limpieza es muy limpia. La completa instalación es el lugar más barato para mi viaje a Nueva Zelanda durante diez días y ocho noches. ¡La única deficiencia es que el baño es muy pequeño, tiene un poco de dificultad para girar, el baño es realmente grande, este diseño del baño es realmente un bug, todos los demás lo gustan mucho!

Went in for a Sunday lunch, as always the front staff are so lovely. The roast of the day and fried chicken came out. Next level delicious and plated beautifully. So great to see a chef who cares about what she is serving. We’ll definitely be back next weekend

El registro es simple, solo informe el nombre, estacionamiento gratuito, buen servicio de recepción, entregó una caja de leche, recomendó un buen restaurante occidental local, no muy lejos del restaurante occidental, supermercado, el supermercado está cerca del distrito chino, pero el supermercado es a las 19 en punto. Cierra alrededor. La habitación no es grande, no hay armario, no hay mucho lugar para poner la ropa, está limpia, hay cocina, artículos de baño, toallas, no pantuflas, café, las boquillas de la ducha no son muy aguadas.

I think I am difficult to impress, but Abbella Lodge excels. The high quality of the booking process (by phone), the warm welcome, the amenities, the fine linens, the large flat screen TV (with excellent reception), the comfortable king-size bed and fast wifi, is all 5 star. Plus there is a lovley little park just 4 or 5 doors along the street to walk the pup. Superb in every way, very highly recommened.

Staff were nice and friendly! Room was clean and I really enjoyed comfy bed! There is everything you need - fridge, mugs, plates etc.. Good location- about 18 mins walk to the Hagley Park. I would just add some chairs and tables for the back patio area so you could enjoy the fresh air! )
