The lodge is very comfortable and has everything you need. Quiet location with a pub nearby serving delicious food, plus lots of great walks right on your doorstep. Lovely to have a hot tub and sauna too, we felt very relaxed and at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

First Class. Beautiful lodge. Very relaxing and much needed recuperation. Sauna perfect, hot tub waiting and warm. Really good stay. Pets welcome. Really well equipped with everything you could need. Would highly recommend. Fishing on site too !!

The lodges are situated near the small Hamlet of Henton, just north of the Chiltern hills, on an equestrian centre that also is the site of a small fishing lake. The setting is peaceful, with views from Red Kite Lodge across to the Chiltern Hills themselves. The owner, Gary, has clearly made a lot of effort to create a quiet retreat in the countryside for his guests. The lodge was well-appointed, with three bedrooms (one en-suite double, one other double and one twin), and a large and comfortable open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. Outside the lodge is an area of decking with a hot tub and table and chairs. The lodge now benefits from an air-conditioning system in every room and is well set up with all the necessary appliances required for a comfortable stay. Our stay was a family meet-up for fishing and socialising and was our second stay in the lodges. The fishing lake has been maintained to a high standard and contains some beautiful rudd and roach and a large head of carp. An on-site tackle shop can supply you with all you need for the fishing if you've forgotten anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back again next year. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely relaxing 2 night stay in Sparrowhawk lodge facing the lake. The weather was warm and sunny and the private fishing peg was an added bonus. The lodge was perfectly equipped and everything was high quality. There was a detailed information booklet on how to use the sauna, hot tub, security gate, etc plus details on local shops, attractions and restaurants which was extremely helpful in making the most of our stay. We will visit again.

Seamus Byrne We had an amazing 5 night stay in the pool house I was surprised how warm the pool was for the size And we loved the jacuzzi If quietness is what your after you have found the right place And you couldn't ask for better hosts Can't wait to return

What a delightful stay we had at Kingfisher Lodge. The setting is peaceful and private and the host, Gary, was great with communication both in advance of our visit and during the stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the high-tech tablet ensured you could set everything up to your own requirements. We will definitely be back, hopefully for a little longer next time!

This place was so beautiful!! These lodges were fitted with everything you needed, even a washer and the amazing book with all the information was so detailed!! Had everything from local eateries to local trails it was so well done!! The lodges were so beautiful in a very picturesque part of the country! The lodge we stayed in was able to have 6 people and it was wonderful! Would stay again!

What a fantastic place, private lodge with hot tub and pool, stables, a lake, country walks... Nicely fitted, roomy and warm Lodge, very well equipped and just lovely. Beautiful place. Self catering and fresh eggs available to buy from the farm

Just returned from a weekend away in the Red kite lodge. Had a fabulous time as group of 4 friends. The lodge was immaculate and had everything that you need including coffee and milk. Hot tub was fab. All the instructions prior to the visit were great and all the information contained for things like walks and food venues were great. Beautiful area of the country. Would highly recommend. Thank you Gary!
