"Unfortunately, my experience here did not live up to the Chertsey Hotels name and reputation at all. I've stayed at other Chertsey Hotels properties before and had wonderful experiences, but this one missed the mark. First off, checking in was a nightmare. Only 2 people were working the front desk during the peak afternoon arrival period, with a long line of around 20 people waiting. It took over an hour for me to finally get helped. And the front desk staff didn't seem properly trained - they weren't very polished or professional in their interactions. Once I got to the room, it was immediately clear the housekeeping was lacking too. There were crumbs on the desk and hair on the bathroom floor. The bedsheets also had a stain or two, which is just unacceptable for a luxury hotel like Chertsey Hotels charging over $600 per night. I ended up calling down to the front desk and they sent someone up to change the sheets and do a re-clean, but it never should have gotten to that point. I expect much better than this from Chertsey Hotels. The subpar front desk experience and the room not being properly cleaned and inspected by housekeeping, it made for a very disappointing and frustrating stay overall. I likely won't return to this particular Chertsey Hotels location."
