TTommy ChawAt the beginning it is hard for me to choose even the review is positive, but when I arrive and check in, I totally change my view. The surrounding is cozy, the room are clean with no cigarette odour even they provide ash tray in the room (suggest owner take away the ash tray and put a notice smoke at provider smoking area out side the premises), toilet are bright and water pressure is good (but hope the owner can make a little bit changes for the wiring system of the water heater), the food is tasty and size are too big for solo traveller (suggest to owner set a
price for small size for not wasting food), the owner parents are friendly and always give the good service. At night, surrounding is quite and good to rest. it is a walking distance to Jing shang ling tourist center but if planning to do the sunrise walk the owner will provide a transfer service to the entrance at 330am. Overall it is a good choice to stay here.

Upon arrival, the front desk let us know that the room we had booked online didn’t have a great view, so they automatically upgraded us for free, without my even having to ask. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and relaxing. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was an elegant array of Chinese dishes along with a few western options.
Location is ideal—within walking distance to the Summer Mountain Resort and restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this as a high-quality hotel for a stay in Chengde.

OON MANLocation is good, right in the city centre. Reception staff, Ms Ella Xia is very helpful and efficient. Hotel Breakfast is your great choice and have such a pleasure to meet up with Mr Stephen Yang, General Manager by coincidence. He is so friendly and cheerful explaining where to go and what to see. This may explain his guidance is really a successful to this hotel management team. Highly recommended for family gathering or relaxing holiday trip at this particular hotel premises.

ZZuiaideyingziAl visitar la Gran Muralla Jinshanling, alojarse en el Great Wall Hotel es la mejor opción, no hay otra opción, jaja. En general, no tuvimos quejas desde el momento en que nos registramos, nos encantó la experiencia y definitivamente nos hace querer reservar otro viaje aquí pronto.

RRoszaimyWonderful location just at the entrance of Chengde Mountain Resort. Possibly walkable from Chengde rail station (not Chengde South / Chengdenan). Friendly front desk staff. Had initial issue with in-room wifi router. Resolved by changing room. The room itself was located at the back of the main building. Bathroom was a bit odd; showering will wet the toilet bowl seating area. Hot water initially didn’t work well but eventually improved. Note that the reception will require ¥100 deposit; best if paid cash so that you get the cash back on checkout (whereas using AliPay or credit card may take some time for the money to be returned). Generous daily housekeeping with towel changes and bottled water. Refillable drinking water was also available at the lobby. Lots of eating options around the hotel area. Buses to Puning Temple are also easily accessible and very frequent.
