Premier Inn Cheltenham Central (West/A40) Hotel

Comfortable reasonably priced hotel in good location for exploring Cheltenham. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable bed, free parking. Easy bus service to the town, and was able to use my bus pass, so no cost. |Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi poor but provider was due to be changed the day I left!

Convenient location and easy to get a bus into town. The parking was easy and the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning in the bathroom was to a poor standard. Too much dust and dirt in the corners of the floor and on the skirting boards. Sink, toilet and bath were all very clean. The room seemed to get warmer and warmer as the night went on. The heating was switched off in the room. We tried putting the fan on which helped but we found the noise of the fan kept us awake. We didn't get much sleep. We didn't use the restaurant as it looked small, dark and uninviting. There is a Little Waitrose next door which is really handy if you need buy any emergency items.

Good location near Cheltenham centre. The rooms were as expected. The breakfast was beyond expectations. Joel is a brilliant chef, food superb and he was super helpful and pleasant - happy to meet any specific requests (well done bacon!). Great finish to our stay.

We booked in for one night to go to the theatre. Booked an early check in at 11. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious , clean, temperature controlled and the shower was hot and powerful. Free parking onsite. We booked breakfast for 8 am (Sunday) and we went down around 7.50, were the only people in at that time and were greeted with a friendly chef who asked how we wanted our eggs. Beautiful poached eggs were ready in a few minutes, by which time our toast had popped and we then helped ourselves to well cooked, hot delicious breakfast food. The coffee and orange juice were very good and we could have had pastries, fruit, muffins etc but we were full. Chef checked we were happy. Hotel was perfect for our needs. A 20/25 minute easy walk to town or get the bus on the road outside the hotel. If we needed to go to Cheltenham again would stay here no problem.

Book the Premier inn for 1 night and unfortunately we had a bad experience. The state of the room was nothing short of absolutely disgusting. Full of cobwebs and dust all around the room and surely had not been cleaned correctly for weeks. The extractor fan in the bathroom was faulty and very loud.

Friendly welcome by Kate on reception. Joel the chef was very helpful and friendly and made delicious poached eggs to order. He clearly took great pride in his work. Hotel is convenient for Cheltenham Spa railway station. Hotel has ample parking.
