Residence Inn Charlotte Airport

I just finished another fantastic stay at the Residence Inn Charlotte Airport. I’ve been coming to Charlotte on extended business trips for years, and l have stayed in several Marriott properties throughout the city. All delivered the high quality experience know l can expect from a Marriott, but RI Charlotte Airport rises head and shoulders above the rest, and here’s why you should choose it if you can. The hotel is clean and well maintained, in a convenient location, with a great firepit and patio. But the main reason is the people. All of the staff, housekeeping, breakfast service, support, front desk, back office and management, all project the highest in hospitality and customer service. I am always thrilled to be greeted like family by long time staff members, and l’m pleased to meet new employees who are being groomed to continue the traditions of pleasant professionalism and prompt service. Many of the staff deserve individual recognition for their outstanding performance, and l wish l could name them all. The list is by no means complete, but a some examples include Sue, Ashley, Laura and Danny. Extra special attention to Stacey for her cheerfulness, warmth and wit. I recommend staying at Residence Inn Charlotte Airport for all your business and leisure visits.

Absolutely loved my stay and my girl Coconut was the BEST. Very helpful and made my stay so much better. The rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was all very friendly and the shuttle drivers were amazing. I definitely recommend people stay here. Nice little food places and not too far from Walmart and everything.

Very nice stay here. It has an outdoor pool open until 9:00 PM (no jacuzzi) and an adequate free breakfast from 6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends. Try to avoid arriving for breakfast in the last 20-30 minutes. Housekeeping may be requested but is provided only every other day. They were a no-show on my day #4. Excellent MHS standard TV setup! My only complaint is that while they have excellent hallway ice makers, my room did not have an ice bucket. The kitchens in the rooms have a basic supply of dishes, glasses, and utensils for a family of 4. Parking is free and a free airport shuttle is available on request. You may sign up for a specific shuttle time the night before you leave. Unfortunately, Charlotte's local morning newspaper is not available at this hotel. I do not normally frequent Residence Inn properties, but this location was just perfect for this trip!

Our room was very comfortable. It was a suite with two rooms. The bed was good and it was quiet. The tub seemed very slippery. There was a full kitchen. The refrigerator had an ice maker which we turned off at night since it was very noisy. Small breakfast area and the sausage was very burnt.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here, one at the beginning of our trip and one at the end of the trip before flying home. The location is about a 10 minute drive from the airport, with a spacious, well lit parking lot. The grounds are well maintained with a courtyard, barbecue area, fire pit and seating. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly, and we were pleased with the 1 Bedroom Suites with king and sofa bed. The bedroom was part of the main room but off to the side of the living area, and there was a small kitchen with counter and seating. Both nights our stay was quiet. Wifi and tvs worked well. The beds were comfortable, although the 1st room's bed needed some new pillows. They were a bit flat. Neither room had luggage racks but there was enough furniture to find a place to set our suitcases. The bathrooms were spacious and clean with plenty of towels and large showers. Drapes did a good job of blocking out light. Our only disappointment was with the breakfast bar, which had a standard variety of hot and cold items, but wasn't what we'd experienced at other Residence Inns which usually offer better quality options than a standard hotel. Some even have an evening "reception" in the lobby for guests, which this hotel does not. For breakfast there were the usual waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, some fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and toast. No decaf teas and only one flavor yogurt. I looked at the pictures posted on this hotel's advertising where they show specialty breakfast foods, like small quiches and breakfast sandwiches, but that wasn't this hotel. There was nothing special about this basic breakfast bar. Overall, if we were in the area again we would probably stay here for the price and accommodations that are reasonable, especially so close to an airport. Plus parking is free, and the area felt safe. One downside, there are no restaurants within walking distance, so if you want to eat out, you'll have to drive.

Conveniently located near the airport. We never hear the planes from our rooms which was a plus. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Our rooms were clean and spacious. We did have issues with the plumbing in both bathrooms of our two bedroom that were addressed in a timely fashion so thats a plus. Both toilets require jiggling the handle for water to stop running in the tank, sometimes did not fully flush the first time even if there were no toilet paper in the bowl. One bathroom the toilet overflowed twice. Again like mentioned previously staff were attentive and addressed issue. Other than that we had a pleasant sray.
