I booked last minute and ended up regretting it after a horrible $238 stay. The room was incredibly basic for the price, and the carpet looked dirty and worn, making me not want to walk on it without flip-flops. The view was another disappointment-room 201 faced an air compressor covered in cobwebs. When I mentioned it to "Sarah" via text, her response was simply, "We have no rooms with views. Thank you for your feedback." A street or pool view would've been better than staring at the back of a dirty generator. Check-in took about 15 minutes, which was already slow, but on top of that, I was charged a $15 parking fee even though there was no clear direction on where to park. When I asked about handicapped parking, I was told it was on the opposite side of the building, which was inconvenient. The room's shower was so tiny that my 9-year-old granddaughter, who is average for her age, barely fit comfortably. Although the bed and pillows were comfortable, the overall cleanliness and the outdated decor left much to be desired. I couldn't believe the low quality given the steep price of $179.55 per night, plus the unexplained $10 charge that brought the total to $238. The area came under a flood watch during the night. I received a text at 10:14 PM while I was asleep, advising me to move my car to the garage. Since I didn't see the message until morning, it would have been more appropriate for hotel staff to knock on the door to inform us of the emergency. What if our car had flooded? Breakfast wasn't any better. I was unable to eat due to my upcoming surgical procedure, but my husband and granddaughter said it was poor quality. Finally, I contacted the general manager, Melanie Brown , about these issues, and she promised a refund for the stay. However, this turned out to be a lie. Despite having email proof of our conversation, the refund never happened. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable, especially from management ! I will never return to this location. Even if it's the last option available, I wouldn't stay here again due to the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and dishonesty about the refund to my email, that I still have the hard copies of. **Present Day** Copies of the conversation; Melaine Brown, still states that did not happen.
